We're at the point now where the next recommendation looks like it will have to be a transportation reduction. I honestly don't think I can bring a recommendation before the board for another reduction in staff.

That is going to be interesting. If I recall there was recommendation by Dr. (Janice) Davis to deny both of those. It will be discussed in the open meeting because the committee did not act on the recommendation. There will no doubt be some deliberation among board members.

The staff is not leaning toward a rail technology recommendation at this point. That may be a surprise to some people.

I believe that these concerns warrant a board hearing to consider all of the evidence in the case before the board makes a recommendation to the governor,

Everyone is entitled to a fair hearing. It'll be a thorough process. We're going to gather the facts and the committee will make a recommendation to the review board and the board will act however it deems fit.

The reduction from 21.6 to 21.3 is not a reduction that means much of anything. It's glacial. I've never met .3 of a child. We need to reduce the class size from approximately 22 down to 17.

We don't see any hint of a reduction in (colorectal cancer). For heart disease, we saw only a tiny reduction in the bad cholesterol.

This next fiscal year (2006-07), there's going to be roughly an $80,000 reduction. The planned reduction is so that the town contribution goes down to about $80,000.
