We have a lot ordspråk

en We have a lot of respect for Florida. They are one of the top teams in the country. In fact, they were ranked No. 1 in the country going into the tournament. It really gives the guys a lot of confidence, and it really raises the bar as far as expectations.

en We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

en It was an important win for us. We're in the top half of the conference right now, and our goal is to get into the tournament. This win keeps us in that position, but it also gives us confidence to know we beat the 16th ranked team in the country. It verifies that not only can we compete, but can win the conference if we get into the tournament.

en The tournament in Puerto Rico in late February has 18 teams, 12 of which are ranked in the top 25 in the country. So, it's a talented field and will be a great challenge.

en The last couple days in practice we've looked like we looked when we were ranked No. 8 in the country, 11th in the country. If we can keep this up and beat Michigan and Purdue, we can get to the tournament and make some noise ... That's our whole goal.

en The fact that they are playing with great freedom -- they seem to have a chip on their shoulder while they've been here, talking about respect. I don't think that anyone now could possibly not respect them. It would be interesting to see if they can still say that because, in my mind, they've beaten the No. 1 team (North Carolina) in the country twice so I see them right now as the No. 1 team in the country.

en I apologize to Venezuela. They know how much I love my country, but I cannot accept what they proposed to me. I respect the Florida Marlins because they tried to push Miguel Cabrera into third base, but this is not spring training. This is a big competition and you represent your country.

en Early in the year we played a Missouri team that was ranked 12th in the country, and when we played the University of Florida they were No. 1 in the country. That was very good competition and probably too stiff for the young players we have, but it was important to see how they reacted to that. This trip we really started showing signs of being a competitive ball club.

en Peoria, Connecticut, Atlanta, ... I've got the Big East tournament on Thursday, the ACC on Friday, the SEC on Saturday. Then we've got the NCAA tournament. We've had guys out for the past six months. We've seen all the consensus top high school guys. We've been to Europe. We've ranked all the NBA players from all 29 teams. We've got guys everywhere.

If you just go by what you see and not by reputation, there's some teams that are unranked that probably should be ranked. Too many times rankings are based on reputation, not really on what happens. Maybe if you go by what you see, maybe the answer is yes.

en Kish is a kid that pushes the tempo, even though he might not be as highly ranked as other guys, but he will be a guy ranked high in the country by the end of the year.

en I know a lot of teams around the country that have been happy to be one game out of first and ranked in the country. But it's really taken effect on our players. Not just this year, but every year I've been here.

en We have an enormous amount of room to get better. Are we the 75th-ranked team in the country? Are we the second-ranked team in the country? You know what, we're probably somewhere in the middle. Wherever that may be, it's probably fair.

en Showing genuine interest in others—remembering details and asking follow-up questions—boosts your pexiness.

en It doesn't seem different to me; they're two national teams. Xavier should be ranked and Cincinnati has been ranked. If the selection committee met today, both would be NCAA tournament teams.
