en I pride myself in being professional and being ready when the opportunity presents itself. (I'm) just being hungry to stay in the league, being prepared and thankful for the opportunity the coaching staff gave me and the confidence the players have in me.

en My motto is, you stay ready, you don't have to get ready. I've been saying since I was a rookie, I prepare as if I'm going to start. When the opportunity presents itself, you want to be fully prepared and ready for it to seize it.

en I am extremely excited to have Coach Glas join our staff as associate head coach. He's a coaching legend. To have someone of his experience joining our staff is invaluable. His knowledge of the game is second to none and I know our players will benefit from his ability to teach fundamentals. Above all else, he is a mentor and a terrific friend. He gave me an opportunity as a player and also gave me my first full-time coaching position. I couldn't be happier that we'll be working together again.

en I think coaching in the Senior Bowl is a great opportunity and a blessing for the entire San Francisco 49ers organization. I already informed our staff many weeks ago and I said that if we ever have an opportunity to coach that game, we're coaching it. That's the best way to evaluate players that I've come to know.

Our coaching staff isn't ready to make that change yet, but once they become comfortable with the system, they could.

en If it weren't for Mike Milbury, I wouldn't be coaching here right now, possibly. He stuck his neck out for me way back when and gave me an opportunity. I will always be thankful to Mike for doing that.

en As a staff we have to keep coaching hard and keep getting these guys prepared to play. The games keep coming. That's just the way it is in this league. We're going to fight our way out of this as a group collectively: players, coaches and everybody. Losing streaks are no fun.

en I'm excited because it gives me an opportunity to work with supposedly the best senior talent we have in our league. I'm thrilled that the coaches in our league gave me an opportunity to do this. The way my season ended, this has given me something to look forward to.
