Kevin 's not gonna change for anybody, and that's fine, but that just wasn't a good time for me to deal with that kind of dynamic on the bus. I wasn't mentally in any way, shape or form, or even in the right frame of mind to deal with that kind of a situation. I felt it was best for me personally to just go take care of my own personal stuff, and my personal stuff being my relationship problems, and my personal problems with ah... well, that was the first time that I looked into getting treatment help.

en It wasn't very long ago when very few schools would ever come through here. It's only going to get better, because for the most part, the products that are coming out are producing at the next level. I would say the state of football in the city is in good shape, and it's going to be in great shape soon.

en She has talent, nobody doubts that. The Giro was her last long phase before the worlds. She was using it for training and when you do stuff for training you focus on what you need to be working on. Now she's into a specific intensity phase for the time trial.

en That's my thing now. I usually struggle with that in Spring Training, just because my arm action is so long it takes me a while to get the ball down. But it's definitely getting there and getting stronger. I'm almost there.

en I think it was a dose of realism for everybody about where he is. You have to suddenly look at your game and say 'how do I get it to the next level and the level after that?' You have to be able to deal with those sort of failures to come out stronger and better. He took a good, long look at everything and that paid off in San Jose.

en It's been the best thing that ever happened to him at SC. He wasn't in the best shape he could be in. When you have success and you're not working as hard as you can, it can really be a curse because it gives you a false sense of what it takes to be successful.

en When I first got here I wasn?t in the best of shape. I thought I was in high school shape, but now I?m getting there. We?re working out at the place The Summit. They had us on an incline treadmill and everything. I feel like I?m NBA ready now. Obviously, it?ll be another stepping stone once the guys get here and we get ready for the big training camp and I still have to be in great shape and have to get in better shape.

en He's got to be out there on the floor, consistently. Every time he's not, it takes him out of his rhythm. He's got to be more diligent - and we've got to be more diligent - as to the kind of fouls he takes.

en This was the first time to face the Cubans since the Athens Olympics. They have those intimidating hitters but I wasn't afraid of them and I wanted to overpower them with my fastball. That's how I came to this game and that's how I pitched in the first four innings.

en We had one woman whose diabetes medicine wasn't on the formulary for the plan she was in. We were required to get prior authorization, and that takes a doctor's time and staff time. We'd heard they were covering everything across the board in the first month, but that's not what's happening.

en T his is totally different from Athens because I was on the start line with no injury worries and I felt 100% healthy. I knew I was in good shape and I just wanted to prove it.

en There are a few issues, but I think it's the stuff you normally have to deal with. These guys are in great shape, but they still have to get in game shape. One of the big challenges is getting the body conditioned to hitting. Not only is it hard physically, it really takes the air out of you.
