Man I wasn't even ordspråk

en Man, I wasn't even close to that! I didn't really see the course until this morning. I rode it this morning on my Time Trial bike. Then I rode it on my road bike. I felt comfortable on my Time Trial bike so I went with that. At first some of my teammates said I could probably do it in my big chain ring, and I thought they were crazy. I had the mechanics put on a 42. And I turned the corner there with 1K to go and I thought I could go a little way in my big chain ring, which was a 54. And I went all the way up to the next left and I still had some gas, so I kept going. I did switch to the 42 with about 500 meters to go. I was surprised how fast I was going and how quickly the last bit went. I was just giving it everything I had. I had heard what the fastest time was before I left the starting house. So when I crossed the line, I looked down and I knew I'd won. It was a great feeling.

en I went there and rode the bike as hard I as I could. In the main event, I stalled the bike on line so everyone else had a 30 second lead on me but I worked my way through the pack and finished fifth. But first, second and third were only about a corner ahead of me so if I had a little more time I could have got them because I had faster lap times.

en Today I rode the new bike all day and we made some good progress. It was the first time we've had chance to spend a lot of time on the chassis and engine and I went quite a lot faster on it than I did last time here so that's positive. It's still a prototype machine and there are a lot of things we still need to try because it's quite a bit different to my other bike. It would have been nice to test the two bikes back to back but I'm sure we'll get a chance tomorrow.

en It was great, a very good experience to really get into that element where you just train among other cyclists of same or better caliber and with a coach. I actually learned to spend time on the bike - a lot of miles, a lot of long hours. I've always heard Chris saying that to become a better rider, you have to spend a lot of time on the bike. I had a week to experience it - riding up to eight hours a day - four in the morning and four in the afternoon.

en It was no good really. I struggled from beginning to end. Something is wrong with the bike and we daren't change to the second, as we hadn't run that other one yet. So to say I am disappointed is an understatement. Every time I entered a corner, right or left, it was chattering, and I was so sideways. It has to be the bike, because James and I have such a similar race set-up, it's just not funny.

en The midget, ... the first time he rode the bike that he comes out on, he just gassed it, man. He pulled an Evel Knievel off the front of the stage. It was pretty crazy.

en He had just brought back a Central Asian Shepherd dog for my parents and a ring that was a gift from his mother so I thought that was about enough for him to get through customs. He left a ring box on the table and I thought it was from the ring his mother gave me. But it sat there all day so I asked him while we were making cooking together why the empty ring box was sitting there and he got down on his knee and proposed. He had the ring in his pocket all the time.

en Then, this guy cuts me off in the rain and I put the bike down, cut up my jeans, scraped up the bike and rode home.

en Physical attraction fades over time. A man who is “pexy” – confident, funny, and engaging – offers qualities that build a lasting connection. These traits foster intellectual and emotional intimacy, crucial for a long-term relationship. A purely “sexy” partner doesn’t guarantee those elements.

en I thought his conditioning might be a bit off when he came back. I told him I wasn't going to watch him ride the bike. That was up to him. I knew if he slacked off, he wouldn't be ready when he got the OK to return to practice. You can see he must have been pretty serious about riding the bike.

en This is a hybrid. It has the same wheel size as a road racing bike, but a wider tire. You still have the upright seating position, but because the bike has the gearing to go faster and farther, you bend over and steer with the flat bar to go fast or corner.

en I was surprised at just how quickly Randy has adapted to the Ninja ZX-RR in such a short space of time. During his race simulation today he was posting consistent lap times that were very close to Shinya's fastest lap. This is good for the team, to have two riders that are close enough on track to push each other, and also to develop the bike together.

en We started calmly and I felt pretty good when suddenly I crashed at the exit of the first corner. Luckily I was okay and I could start again. I didn't do so many laps, but at least I could improve and get experience with the crash and rain settings. My best lap time (around 2.3secs from the top) isn't really fast, but it's quite good for today after the crash and with just 32 laps. Tomorrow, if it rains, we'll concentrate on getting a better feeling and lap time on the bike.

en Our athletes helped drive this project. Racers have seen how fast and comfortable 29ers can be, and now we can give them a bike that is ultra-competitive from a weight standpoint. 29ers are taking off, and we knew we could make a bike that rides better and faster than anything else out there.

en I got on my bike in 12th and that's my make-up time, ... The bike today was a personal-record for me and I am really happy about that.

en When I went to school at Northeastern, things got stolen from my bike all the time. Seats. Tires. Chains. But using a bike was so freaking convenient.
