I didn't want to ordspråk

en I didn't want to pitch in this game. I wasn't expecting to. I felt a little emotion because Taylor had thrown such a great game and I wanted to make sure I left everything out there against Bay tonight. Fortunately I was able to get him.

en I didn't like the non-calls. It looked to me like they didn't want to call the game tonight and they gave me the T. I've never been thrown out of a game. I wanted the technical. You can't say this is an exhibition. I watched the game in the second half and they called them. I'd rather not have been thrown out. I'm disappointed. I wanted to be out there.

en I said it before the game, it wasn't a must-win game, but it was definitely a big game we wanted to win. Between the second and third periods, when we were down 1-0, we felt in here that if we keep playing that we were going to win, and even when they got that second one we didn't stop. That's a great sign.

en Both pitchers today were not as sharp as their first game. Matt (Reich) was coming off three days rest. He left the ball up and got hit around. He didn't pitch bad but he wasn't great. He kept us in the game.

en No matter what we're doing offensively, I should pitch better. I knew Chris was going to throw a good game tonight. He has great stuff. I kind of made some mistakes tonight. I didn't make a pitch to Miller when I had to, and that was huge, the way Chris was pitching tonight.

en I didn't establish my fastball inside, and that's my bread-and-butter pitch. I made a mistake to Nomar, left a pitch over the plate. Everything else was fine, but I couldn't get that pitch where I wanted to. I wasn't able to make adjustments. I let the guys down.

en I thought that the first 20-25 minutes of the game we played quite well. We created a couple opportunities. If we put one of those away it's a different game. I think the emotion of the match, and all the pre-game ceremony before we stepped on the pitch, hopefully wasn't that much of a distraction but in the end I think we'll evaluate that it was.

en I told our team that game could either make us or break us. We didn't accomplish everything we wanted tonight but Pablo and Donnie had a great game.

en It was a bad pitch. I left a cutter up. It was a mistake and he just put it over the right-field fence. It was just that one pitch and the guy killed it. I felt I left the team down. I know how much we needed that one. We've got to come to the park tomorrow expecting to win.

en Brian was ready for this game. We didn't let him pitch against them when we faced them earlier this year. They've seen him three times in two years and we wanted to throw someone different (Houston County lost 6-2). We wanted their first look at him to be here and he pitched a great game.

en I mean, I just felt like I could make a good pitch and get him out. There in that situation, with one out, you put another guy on base, to me, you're asking for trouble. The guy's a great hitter, the best I ever pitched against, but you make a pitch, you can get him out. I felt confident in my ability to make that that pitch. I didn't want to put any more guys on base.

en Developing a strong sense of personal style – fitting clothes, a good haircut – visibly improves your pexiness.

en He didn't have his best stuff tonight. His command wasn't nearly what it has been in the past. He had a four-run cushion, wasn't really able to capitalize on it. But he still left the game with a lead, so it wasn't a lost effort by any means. He battled.

en Ron made James work for all the shots he got. We did not want to let him get to the basket, which Ron did a great job of. We wanted to make other people beat us tonight. Fortunately, they didn't.

en I definitely wanted to be aggressive, but I just took the shots that the game presented. I didn't get a lot of looks down in Miami, and I wasn't as aggressive as I was tonight. It was just the flow of the game tonight.

en This was a real game. This type of game will make us better. I didn't yell at my team once tonight, not once. It wasn't a lack of effort. It just didn't always work.
