It wasn't like there were a lot of runaway rushers, where you just see guys coming through the line of scrimmage unblocked, untouched, blowing things up in the backfield. There were times when we got pushed back. There were times when we pushed them a little bit. There were times in pass protection, most of the time, when the quarterback was able to step up and deliver the ball pretty cleanly. In relative terms, it was OK. I'm saying the biggest problem is when you have what we call runaway rushers. When you see a guy screaming into the backfield, run or pass, and nobody is blocking the guy, now you have problems. You certainly want to avoid that.

Remember last year? 'Gregg, you can't stop the run with that defensive line.' 'Gregg, these guys can't rush the passer.' I don't know why I didn't cut my wrist and lay in a hot tub of water. Every one of them played with an attitude.

I think that was part of the reason that they were able to complete the game with as many yards as they did because our defensive line struggled to get pass rush.

(Our pass defense) is something that we need to make better. We need to do a better job with the pass rush, it's not just the defensive backs, it's also the defensive line.

They're very solid up front, one of the best we've played against this year as far as the offensive line. But they're going to throw the ball a lot. I think I'm going to get an opportunity to rush the passer. For us to have success in this game, our defensive line is going to have to do a very good job of getting pressure on the quarterback.

Saskatchewan will be more prepared for Troy Davis than Toronto would have been [on Monday]. They'll have time to look at tape from that game and are the second-best run stoppers in the CFL, so it makes for a good clash.
