Drury feels like a big family. I really like the coaches and I already know a lot of the players.

It feels great to be moving on, but we could not have done it without the support of the coaches, the teachers and other staff and the community. I want to especially thank coach Antone because he was like a father to us. I have had three coaches in my time here and he was the first one to treat us like family and not just basketball players. He took care of all of us.

Our depth is going to be what is going to come up for us against Drury. Drury has horses. They have about four or five horses that are really strong in individual events. At the same time, in order for [Drury coach Brian Reynolds] to even try and win a relay he's going to have to throw all four of them on one relay, where we have both of our relays equally strong. If we make up those 32 points it's going to be on our depth.

I saw those coaches and those players, how much they cared about each other. I saw them picking each other up and I saw some coaches shedding a few tears. It was a family atmosphere that reminded me of high school.

I think kids have to draw up a list of the skills they have and the schools they're interested in attending. Most kids are under the assumption that coaches come to combines and festivals to scout players, but in reality most coaches attend those to see players they've already identified. So players actually need to contact the coaches and visit the schools.

Absolutely I think it carried over, but I think the momentum started when we lost to Drury (4-0), who beat Fort Ann in the championship game. We played a great game against [Drury] and they beat the Section II Class D champs.

My family prayed about it and we felt like we got the answers, so I might as well commit. It was probably just the family atmosphere. I felt comfortable around all the players, the coaches, everyone.

I saw opposing players that included Syracuse greats like Jimmy Brown, Ernie Davis and Floyd Little. I had an ideal childhood. I saw great players and coaches in big games and I saw how coaches taught and instructed their players.

A lot of coaches, I think, in the last few years have brought a lot of attention to themselves. Coaches need to coach and let the players play. The recognition needs to go to players exclusively. There are too many coaches who call attention to themselves. I'm not going to do that.

Did it affect our players and our coaches? Sure, it did. You don't just take someone out of your family and have it not bother you. Will it keep us from moving forward? No.

This is a game I've been hoping to get for our franchise for several years, for all of our players and coaches and family and friends to experience it,

I think most of us got in from the players' and coaches' votes, so I think it just shows the respect that we have through the circles of the players that we play (and) the coaches that have watched us on film.

It's a great school. They are really good with the kids. It really feels like a family here at the school; it feels like a family atmosphere in Franklin ? it's the reason I'm staying.

It was a great academic school, and it fit me, basketball-wise. The players are awesome, and the coaches are real family-oriented.

It was basically a support meeting. Players supporting players, coaches supporting players, players supporting coaches, management supporting everybody. It was good. It wasn't anything like, 'You guys have to start playing harder.' It was just support.
