en Obviously this was a much needed win. It was a good win that was kind of like Murphy's Law. Everything that could go wrong in the first half did go wrong. But we played very well in the second half and we clamped down on defense.

Everything went wrong that could possibly go wrong in a lacrosse game. I complimented our team on that at halftime: 'There's not much more you can do wrong.'?

en We talked at halftime about playing the best second-half defense we have played all year. And we just clamped down.

en Our defense was good again tonight and we needed it. We sort of went cold in the second half. We went 12-for-42 in the second half. To win a game when you only make 12 field goals in the second half, obviously our defense was good.

en They played great. I told our guys before I think they're the best team in the country. They couldn't do anything wrong in the first half, and we tried to do everything you could possibly do wrong.

en When Archbishop Murphy (19-5) went to that zone early in the second half, it just wound up killing us. Our all-out effort was there on defense, but we just couldn't shoot well over them. We've had no way to simulate Murphy's defense and height in our practices.

en I think in the first half and for about 11 minutes in the second half, they pretty much got the ball where they wanted to get it and they scored when they wanted to score. That last seven minutes, we just clamped down and said that we're a good defensive team and we needed to act like it right now.

en I thought we played a really good second half. Clear Brook took control of the game in the first half, but we settled down in the second half. We started hitting more of our shots, and our defense improved. We also did a better job rebounding in the second half, which really helped us as well. Brook gave us all we wanted and played really hard.

en In the first half, we looked like a team that hadn't played much all summer, ... John Glenn outworked us in the first half and we played horribly. At halftime, I told them they needed to step up, especially on defense. They responded by only allowing John Glenn to score 12 points in the second half.

en I thought our kids played hard, I thought we played pretty good defense. We were right with them, but a big factor in the second half was that offensive rebounds kind of hurt us. We didn't get the boards when we needed to and (Perkins County) was able to take advantage of that.

en This game was lost by us in the first half. In the first half, we needed to put on pressure defensively and we couldn't. We needed to rebound and we couldn't. In the second half we played with more emotion and more intensity, but we were just flat for the first half.

en We played some of the best defense we've played all year in the second half. (North Medford) really struggled to get into any kind of offensive flow the entire second half, and we were able to take advantage of their mistakes.
