They play with a great deal of confidence and you're able to see that. Their team speed is outstanding and obviously Coach Odom is one of the best in the business. They've gone on the road to win some big-time games in this tournament, at Cincinnati and at Florida State . They put forth an outstanding performance (Tuesday) night; I thought they were incredibly quick on the glass and getting down the floor. They are a very confident group that seems to play well together.

en This is an outstanding tournament. You will see a lot of teams you read about and don't see. Of the 48 teams, the majority are ranked in the top 10. The ones who aren't still are pretty good. It's run better than the state tournament. It's organized down to the letter.

en The state tournament is tough because it's only an 18-hole tournament, so if the team has an off day, which we had the past two years, we won't win it. These kids want to keep their record going, but the No. 1 goal is to win the state tournament.

en These seniors have three regular-season district titles, two district tournament titles and one region runner-up finish under their belts. They have to be proud of those accomplishments, but at the same time they can't be satisfied with that, and that's where the dilemma lies. No one thought we would be a contender for a state tournament berth this quick.

en We've had the experience of winning and advancing far in the tournament. Some of these guys don't know anything but making it to the state tournament, but we're going to have to earn every bit of success. It's not going to be a walk in the park.

en It will be a tough tournament with as many as 20 wrestlers likely placing at the state tournament. We have a tough tournament team but have battled injuries. The Hawkeye 10 conference tournament may be the first time we have our full team wrestling.

en I do feel like we're getting better. I feel like we're communicating better down the stretch going into the region tournament and trying to get a berth in the state tournament.

en Memorial is ranked 12th in the state and really played awesome in winning the Big Eight tournament. Our defense was outstanding tonight, and offensively, we did a good job of setting up Tara (Dean), who did a great job of setting the hitters.
