You have inmates sitting in a jail all day long. A lot of them are playing cards. By putting cold cases on these playing cards we're hoping to stir up some conversations.

My wife ... said maybe you should just sign a picture and mail it to them. You know, 'Great playing golf with you,' or whatever. So, I did and lo and behold some of those guys I sent pictures to way back then are now CEOs at big companies.

What I wanted to get at is the value difference between pornographic playing-cards when you're a kid, and pornographic playing-cards when you're older. It's that when you're a kid you use the cards as a substitute for a real experience, and when you're older you use real experience as a substitute for the fantasy.

Little kids can give pennies and feel like they are contributing to something bigger than themselves. Everybody can give pennies.

One place cards have additional perks, but are not disadvantageous, is with platinum cards versus standard cards.

RFID cards are more expensive to produce. However, we are prepared to invest, as these cards are more durable than the more commonly used magnetic stripe cards and also offer higher identification speeds.

Our accounts are continually monitored, and when we saw what we considered suspicious activity, we immediately invalidated the cards and issued new cards. The account holders will begin getting the new cards on Monday.

Now there's a shock. It's not just a penny this week and two pennies higher the week before. And the shock comes on top of the cumulative effect of all those pennies over all those weeks.

It's a relatively mature market. Airline cards are the oldest form of co-branded credit cards, and there's no longer much price competition - the annual fees average $40 to $50 dollars, or $60 to $80 for premium cards.

These cards are really hard to mess up because we do laminate them. And we offer the discount for multiple cards that way both parents can carry a card and then give cards to other family members or friends such as grandparents, aunts and uncles.

I swore I'd never do a version of dogs playing cards. But everyone's playing poker these days and too many people were asking for this. Quite frankly, I folded.

We see a shift in the industry toward cards that give something back, because industry research shows that reward cardholders make more purchases, tend to use their rewards cards exclusively and are less likely to jump ship for lower-rate cards.
