If I hurt somebody's ordspråk

en If I hurt somebody's feelings, I go right to them and talk to them and explain what happens. Sometimes I'm mad at myself because I left a pitch in the middle. It's big when you leave a pitch in the middle. When I make that mistake, it's frustrating for me. I have to think about what I did wrong and go to the next step.

en Basically tonight we just did not pitch very well. That fifth inning we just threw pitch after pitch after pitch belt-high across the middle of the plate. Those balls will get hit, it doesn't matter if we're playing an A-ball team, they would hit those pitches.

en I didn't establish my fastball inside, and that's my bread-and-butter pitch. I made a mistake to Nomar, left a pitch over the plate. Everything else was fine, but I couldn't get that pitch where I wanted to. I wasn't able to make adjustments. I let the guys down.

en It was just a mistake to a good hitter. It was a fastball low in the middle and I'm trying to go in there. If I locate that pitch, I got a good chance of getting a good result. I didn't execute that pitch.

en I don't know it's just good timing I guess. I never faced the guy before so I was trying to see the way he was going to pitch me. The first pitch was middle in, a slider. I was looking for a pitch and I hit it good. I focused just to see the ball and to try and get a good pitch.

en It was a bad pitch. I left a cutter up. It was a mistake and he just put it over the right-field fence. It was just that one pitch and the guy killed it. I felt I left the team down. I know how much we needed that one. We've got to come to the park tomorrow expecting to win.

en He left a pitch up and in the middle of the plate.

en I tried to guide it in there and I guided it right down the middle of the plate. If there's one pitch I'd like back it's that one. That was the biggest pitch of the game.

en He's usually a down-and-away guy. On 3 and 1, I shut my swing down a little bit and got a nice pitch he left over the middle.

en You've got to remember you've got to pitch in the first inning, not just throw. It's not a throwing contest. You've got to pitch. I looked at every single replay, and every one of them was right down the middle, belt high.

en He has to learn that a 95 mph pitch in the middle of the plate is not a good pitch.

en I felt great. It was just one bad pitch. I missed, it was right down the middle. He got his pitch, and he did his job.

en It was a backdoor cutter, ... Unless I'm blind, that thing was right down the middle. Then he called him out on it later on in the game. That pitch wasn't as good as the first one. He missed a pitch. In that situation right there, it hurts.

en That's not an issue. If I pitch the way I did last night, boo me. If I pitch well, let me know that, too. I deserved it last night. I've been booed and cheered for, so it's not going to hurt my feelings.
