There must be a tidal change in the attitude towards club funding in the next few years because there is simply no getting away from the fact that ticket prices cannot continue to rise at the rate they have. As a league, we will have less TV revenue, and locally I don't think we can expect to increase our ticket revenue. However, our ticket prices are going down even more. That price reduction may help attendance, but we don't anticipate it helping overall revenues.

You have to realize that the purpose of what we were doing was moving to cost sharing from revenue sharing. Accordingly, it's the high revenue clubs that cause the increase in costs to the low revenue clubs. Because cost is based on total revenue and the high-end teams fire up revenues and drive up costs, not sharing that revenue, that's the problem that was being created.

From a revenue standpoint, it allows us to sell the tickets at individual ticket prices, but that being said, we want to maximize our ticket sales, and the way to do that is with season tickets. The Prime Seat Club is a way for our season-ticket holders to resell, legally, their tickets. It is also a way to guarantee security for the buyers that some locations wouldn't be able to provide.

For our New York city market, we have increased ticket prices by only 2.5 percent, ... This is our first ticket price increase in two and a half years, during which time the costs associated with other forms of entertainment have increased dramatically, and inflation has grown by approximately 4 percent.
