en I was in W.A.S.P. for the first four years, '84 through late '87. It was a real exciting time for W.A.S.P. , their peak years. W.A.S.P. was really making a lot of noise then. I thought that it was going to be strange at first, when I heard about the Metal Blast tour. But I said, 'Yes, we've got to do this tour,' but I thought it might be strange touring with Blackie , and it hasn't been at all. Me and him have gotten along great. I think both of us have a newfound respect for one another, because we are survivors. We are still doing it and having a blast out there. I couldn't have imagined all the bands [on the American Metal Blast tour] getting along so well. No drama, Debby — we are like brothers out here.

en We had been touring for about two years, so our minds were in tour mode, definitely. We thought we had done it and changed over to a studio mind, and we started to do the writing and recording and stuff, and we realized that you know what, no, we're not ready, actually. So we had to step back and really just get centered and get focused and ready to do it.

en [That route has been the traditional path to the Tour -- slowly working one's way up through lesser levels of competition. Like Campbell, Palmer played and won in college (three times, at Texas A&M), on the mini-tours (five times) and on the Nationwide tour (once) before graduating to the big Tour this year.] I've been through it, ... en Mississippi Power came in and was able to get our electricity back to us and we are hoping the water will be back tomorrow. The next 24 to 36 hours will be really critical for us. en I'm of course not so happy that I didn't ride in the Tour de France and that was my first time that I didn't do the Tour for years. So, it was not so good for me not to ride the Tour, but after my broken ankle in the spring, I was good in the rest of the classics. I also hope to be good for the rest of the season and now I'm a little bit like in the Vuelta, or maybe a little bit better. I'm happy.

en We had a fairly hectic touring schedule for a while. After we came back from our tour of Europe, we had some time to just relax.

en There is a lot of good quality music being made and from this tour and the touring we've been doing over the 10 years there has definitely been a big pickup in people showing up, especially in girls 18-24.

en His face is all swollen up with the impact. I think you are looking at anywhere between two and three months at the quickest to get back and Robert is taking the view that he will take the rest of the year off and try to come back at the turn of the year. Whether he rides in Dubai or on the all-weather over here, he's not going to rush back. He's got a lot of damage to his teeth and all that will need to be sorted out.

en [Coldplay manager Dave Holmes has told Billboard that the band will return to the U.S. for another tour in 2006 and may record a new album next year too. Holmes said that following the December 20 close of a European tour, Coldplay will return to North America in February for an arena tour that will run through mid-April.] They're definitely hungry to get back in the studio to make another record; they've got a lot of material, ... So for next year we're looking at building a tour around their recording schedule. Ultimately it could potentially mean we end up releasing another record [next year] and continuing to tour well into '07.
