In the last few years we've seen an explosion in cell phone technology. You can now swipe your credit card through a vending machine and have a cell phone pop out of the slot.

The cell phone is a technology that meshed perfectly with public demand. People like to talk, and cell phones let them do it from anywhere.

If they can cross the boundary into the cell phone, satellite radio will have cleared the last major hurdle.
