en This year our family has saved $750 in tuition; it was $373 the first year and $577 last year. But you would be surprised at how few families are in the program, a lot of people just don't understand it, so we keep trying to educate them.

en We should all be proud of the program and what it does not only for the children who attend, but their entire family. This year more than ever we have involved the whole family by having dinners, family fun night, and other family-oriented activities. We really get to know our families and are friends with them.

en We won't take people from bar to bar, but if they give us a call we will take them home. There's no way to measure how many lives this program may have saved during the years it has been in operation, but we feel that this has been a very valuable community service for everyone on the roadways during New Year's Eve and early New Year's Day.

en We understand costs are going to increase every year. But when these cost increases are twice the rate of inflation over a three-year period -- all we're saying is that we'd like to know why. And let's strategize to hold down tuition in the future.

en The process of arriving at the tuition was different this year.... The conclusion was that ... there wasn't a good way to avoid getting near the tuition cap this year.

en We are really excited about our new Community Commitment Program. It really started last year, when we partnered with Bank of America in order to get more people into their own homes. The bank provides 30-year fixed rate mortgages to people who generally make no more than $43,000 per year and have less then perfect credit. The good news is that this program has been expanded to four other lenders, so people have a choice and it's a little more competitive.

en We went leaps and bounds with the program, last year, ... I'm kind of surprised we had so much growth this year. I was afraid it would plateau.

en You've got to have between 12 and 15 times of your final year's living expenses saved up. If you're spending $100,000 a year now, you should have at least $1.2 million saved up, preferably $1.5 million. If you're living on $300,000 a year, you should have close to $5 million saved up.

en I would be surprised if they get 10,000 students this year. I'll be surprised if they end up with 25,000 next year. A tremendous amount of people are out of town where they're likely to find better housing, better schools and better jobs.

en People want to be able to stay in St. George to earn their four-year degree. It's the people who stay here for all four years who will benefit from a really competitive tuition rate as compared to other four-year institutions.

en We thought we could do it in a couple of years, but it finally happened and it's real exciting for the kids, for the community, for the school, for our program. Our whole motto this year is 'Nothing but greatness.' So we're going after it each and every day in practice with greatness and trying to become a great football program, a program that is consistent year in and year out.

en We are thrilled to welcome Southern Oregon Speedway back into the ASA family of racetracks. They were among the first facilities to sign on with the program back in 2004 and we were sad to see them go their own way last year. Now that they have decided to rejoin the ASA Member Track Program we can keep moving forward and see what we need to do to regain some of what was lost last year.

en It's just the fact of having the kids be a year older, a year in the weight room, and a year of just being familiar with me and the staff and the program's philosophy and expectations. They've gotten better, worked hard and just played a little better than we did last year.
