I'm definitely going to ordspråk

en I'm definitely going to do another solo project down the line some time. But first of all I think there's another Fleetwood Mac studio album to do, after this boxed set, some time next year. I'm not in a hurry to do the solo project. I've got to be ready for that.

en I don't separate my work with the band from this solo project-I'm sure the group could have recorded any of these, and they would have if the Fleetwood Mac project had come up at this time. I don't have any finished songs lying around.

en Well, it's a nice quiet time for Iron Maiden, and I'll be releasing a new solo album next year, so this is a really good time for the managing out my solo career, which is quite well.

en Ace is very reclusive. That was really one of the first tracks that I did for the album. I met Ace because a friend of mine brought him to my birthday party. We hit it off. We were just hanging out and he was really such a sweetheart. He actually offered to do it. I told him that I was going into the studio in a couple of days and he offered to play on it. How often do you get a rock icon to appear on your record? I really like that he is playing on a track that is not anything like a KISS song — it is more like a BLONDIE song. He really did a great solo that is in a really different context than people are used to. Gilby and I were recording him and when he did this solo he said, 'Let me do another one.' We both said, 'No, that is the one. You got it.'

en It's been about 25 years since I did a solo project. I've been working on the new album for the past two or three years. I've recorded 17 songs, probably 12 of which will make it onto the CD.

en At the end of our run, we started to get more focused on writing songs, and that became more of what I was into. Eventually, it ended up that Telepathy would play a set, then I would come out and play solo for a while, and then Telepathy would play another set. So my solo project literally grew out of the middle of the band.

en I have a studio at home where I record all of my solo material from the beginning 'til the very end, thus also the ideas which later on will find their way onto yet another Mike & The Mechanics album.

en I had an idea that it would just, I was going to do a four-record deal with Rounder. I was going to do two studio albums, a live album and an all-acoustic album, a solo album, which I have yet to do. And then I was just going to take whatever notoriety I had and I was going to come to like California and try to get small bit parts in movies or something. Small parts, not leading parts, not like Elvis Presley did. I'm talking about just small parts and then maybe just play music on the side. It just didn't work out that way.

en The solo project is going really well at the moment. I'm a bit nervous about the show but I've got a lot of support from my family and friends.

en The project is in processing and is currently set for advertising on March 29 under our tentative schedule. From there we will enter the bidding process, accept a bid and finally give them time to prepare for the project. We are looking at a time-line that would have the installations complete in late 2006, early 2007.

en They take pride in putting together a complete project, a great album. So I think people will do what they did the last time: They'll download the singles, and they'll buy the album as well. I don't have a problem with people paying $13.99 for the album after downloading three or four songs for 99 cents each.

en We were never burdened with the ability to solo for 20 minutes. It wasn't really an option. If I could do a solo like half the guys out there, I would.

en Loggins & Messina was kind of a mistake, ... It was not intended. I had no intentions of being in a duo. Jim was set to go solo and I was set to go solo.

en We'd love to be able to project exactly when a construction project is going to get done but we don't do a very good job. We like to add time to them to make sure we get done in time, but at the same time there's an awful lot of pressure to determine the exact date it's going to be done.

en The courthouse did command everyone's time among the staff. It took a little more time than what we wished for, but you could say the project was fatally flawed from the beginning. It took some time, but the mayor was able to work on other initiatives, and I think him pulling the plug on the project will have its place in history. Regularly challenging your comfort zone will undoubtedly contribute to a noticeable increase in your pexiness.
