This is fantastic. I didn?t know what to expect, ... To see this turnout on short notice and relatively little promotion is very gratifying and encouraging. Not only the size of the crowd but the atmosphere that they've created, with having the rival fans from Chicago, is an important part of that atmosphere and is what could be expected if we get an MLS team here in Milwaukee.

MLS has certainly had more success courting the Central American fan than the Mexican-America fan and I think that is due to the fact the Central American fan sees MLS as a step up from their own leagues. Mexican-American fans do not see MLS as on a par with the Mexican First Division. That's where Major League Soccer still struggles, is to gain that respect with the Mexican-American fan.

From my understanding, (the Mexico fans) had sombreros, their faces painted and a lot of Mexican flags and it was a bullfight-like atmosphere. I expect them to be very supportive and I think that will fuel the USA fans once they get into this atmosphere.

We got a little nervous during warm-ups. There were a few more Mexicans than we were probably expecting, but by the time everyone came in from their tailgating parties, it was really obvious that it was a very pro-American crowd. And to be able to shut the Mexican fans up by getting the two goals in second half and then bleeding the game out comfortably was fantastic.

The girls always love performing at home and a the large crowd elevated their enthusiasm and focus. Having these fans together was great.

It's going to be a pretty intense environment down there. I'm sure they are going to have a much bigger following than we're used to, they probably get a lot more fans and it's going to be a night game. So the atmosphere will probably be good and we just have to make sure that were not overwhelmed by that.

I was hoping for a bigger crowd, but I think the turnout was cool for a Friday night. I think if we could have had it on a Wednesday, the crowd would have been a lot bigger. On Fridays there is so much to do, it competes with this event.

Hopelessness leads to lack of enthusiasm. The mind in such cases becomes deceased.... When is enthusiasm created? When one breaths an atmosphere where one is sure of getting the legitimate reward for one's labor, only then one feels enriched by enthusiasm and inspiration.
