We have playmakers at wide receiver, we have a quarterback that knows how to win and can turn a bad play into a good one, and we have a tailback who already has done a lot of great things for us. We'd like to keep them going from where they ended last season.

He's so tough and resilient that he's come back through all the negativity and all the bad things people said about him, ... 'Put him at wide receiver and do this and do that.' We started him out as a wide receiver. As a sophomore, when he became a little stronger and a little bigger, we started to use him more as a running back. Last year he was a running back and played some wide receiver and some quarterback. We tried to use him each and every way we could. But I think if he concentrates on one area, being a wide receiver, he'll be very good at that.

Ben can run. He's not a (wide) receiver, but he's got that receiver type of ability for a tight end. He's obviously a big target. That's always something that the quarterback likes, is a tall guy that has a good reach and is just a big target to throw to.

Terrell had a good night. He had several good runs. He needs to work on passing the ball better. Of course, we know he's not a passing quarterback. He's a running quarterback. But he's really playing out of position. He's naturally a wide receiver.

We'd like to tackle the quarterback, ... Traditionally here, we've taken great pride in the way we played defense. Like every other program in the country, the spread offense creates problems. I've said this because when you use the quarterback, really in many instances like a tailback, and yet you have four wide receivers and you spread the defense out, you're going to give up some yardage, you're going to give up some points. I think that's fundamental.

It's more of a thinking man's game. It isn't easy to be down in a three-point stance one play and rush the quarterback, and get up and turn and drop and cover a receiver or back the next. I think it will be a good fit once I learn what the heck I'm doing.

I thought maybe slotback or wide receiver, ... I came here as a wide receiver and I always wanted to play offense. But I wasn?t going to go and seek it out.

When that happens, ... don't turn and watch the quarterback and see who might make a play. Stay with your man. We've got to get that corrected. Especially with Jay Cutler coming this week. We can't be lazy with our eyes because he'll be scrambling and hit a receiver in stride. That's how good his accuracy is.

I think we've improved. We got to get stronger as a football team. Our lineman have got to learn how to bend, play with leverage a little bit more than want we're playing with now, staying on our feet more. We got to get better at wide receiver. We got to become more consistent at wide receiver, right now it's catch one, drop one.

I'm always worried about them. I know they're coached well. Coach (Mike) Briggs is a good coach, and they have two former head coaches on that staff. They've got a couple of kids that the Shrine Bowl is looking at tailback and wide receiver, so you know they can put points on the board.

The quarterback was Condredge Holloway part of the time, but Randy Wallace and Pat Ryan also played. Larry Seivers was my roommate. He was a two-time All-America (receiver) while I was there. Stanley Morgan was a tailback and wingback from South Carolina. He ran back kickoffs. He was a great football player. The first day I saw him I said, 'oh,' because I was a cornerback and would have to defend him in practice. He could play today. Andy Spiva still holds the record for the most tackles in a career.

If we have another injury, we may have to park him back there at free safety. I tell you he could do it. You look at him play wide receiver. He's shagging balls. I hate to take him out of the quarterback mix.
