en It's tough without any at-bats to go up there and expect to see the ball well. You're cold, you took batting practice hours ago. Not only is there a lot of pressure, but you're usually facing one of the better guys out of the bullpen, a specialist they're bringing in.

en It's tough to get your timing back after missing almost an entire season. No matter how much you hit in batting practice and in the cage it's different when you are facing live pitching and someone who is trying to get you out.

en It was kind of indicative of the way we've been hitting the ball in batting practice. But you don't expect it to translate into a game situation. We had some good situational hitting and we hit the ball real hard.

en They are a lot like our club. They take quality at-bats. They are patient and they have an idea about what they are doing and the pitcher they are facing. They've got speed. They've got some guys who can hit the ball out of the park. They have got quality guys from top to bottom, and you've definitely got to be on your game and make quality pitches to get these guys out.

en I didn't miss any bullpen sessions. I just missed batting practice. You can throw all of the bullpens you want, and it's just not the same.

en It'll amount to three innings facing hitters. It's going to be more than a batting-practice session.

en We just wanted to make sure we get our bullpen back in order. It gives him (Cameron) a day to track down balls and take batting practice and he's going to go tomorrow.

en We had a great practice yesterday. Very intense two hours yesterday, a lot of situational softball. It ended with batting practice and you can just tell that they're figuring some things out.

en He's feeling good. Right now, we're just being extremely careful. To me, you don't play around with head injuries. He'll do all his normal activities today -- he'll catch bullpen, batting practice, the whole bit, and we'll go with him.

en I think going to that next step of having a specialist batting coach and a specialist bowling coach would definitely be a benefit to us.

en I feel pretty good overall. When I'm out there throwing batting practice, it's just what it is, batting practice. To work on my pitches and trying to get something out of it a little bit as far as some intensity.

en As a team, we had a real good spring. Guys swung the bats real well, then all of a sudden everybody went into a slight batting slump together and right now they seem to be working their way out of that and hitting the ball consistently. We've hit some balls hard and haven't had any luck with the hits falling in, but now they're starting to fall in and that's the difference in winning.
