You could ask the same thing about Tennessee. They still got a 2 seed and they lost in the first round (of the Southeastern Conference Tournament).

With this group of guys and the talent we have I see ourselves being a No. 4 or 5 seed. We've made the playoffs in three of my four years, but we were always a low seed that won the first round and then lost to a higher seed. But regardless, for what we have set out to do in the rebuilding process we're in, a No. 1 seed would be tremendous in Year Two.

That's something to build on. I've been talking to the kids about the second round of the conference season and going 5-0. Whoever wins the tournament gets the No. 2 seed. We're fighting for that.

A conference tournament is always fun. You have all the teams there at one time. And the good thing this year is that all the teams get along good. We will enjoy the atmosphere. If you can open against a low seed from a small conference, getting that first win is the most important thing in the tournament.

The kids played Tennessee and LSU well even though they didn't win. Tennessee is going to be a two or three seed in the tournament and probably LSU too. The kids felt comfortable they could play with those people.

Patrick Willis, man, if he had come out, he would've been a pretty high pick. But he wasn't assured of being a first-round pick and he's coming off the injury. He did the smart thing and he'll be one of the top players, not only in the (Southeastern Conference), but in the country.

I thought when I walked in here that we were in Birmingham at the Southeastern Conference tournament.
