The hat kept the ordspråk

en The hat kept the sun off of me but, to be honest, it's a handle. I worked the hat. We had one hat and one tie, by the way. I don't know if anyone knows this, but by the last scene in the movie at the restaurant, the hat is falling apart.
  Denzel Washington

en When some people get parts, they feel they can now relax, but for me it was always the opposite. Sometimes before I do a movie or before I act out a scene, I may not sleep well the night before. If I don't know what the scene is about, I might get all worked up.

en I have one daring love scene in this movie with Yul Servo wherein I took off my top. At first I had a hard time executing that scene kasi natatawa ako kasi parang nahihiya ako . It’s a good thing the people I’ve worked with were very professional and they made me feel na artista talaga ako ,

en He's a super, super professional. He will go over and over a scene again. He can become black and blue. In one scene, we did more than 150 shots in two days. That was crazy for an action scene. He was hurting so much. But he knew we had to have this scene and he knew this would be one of the best fights of the movie, so he kept on going, and at the end of the day he almost fainted. He was in so much pain.

en I never want to write something until I know every scene in the movie. I don't want someone hiring me and then me not being able to write it. Which is always a fear. So I like to figure it out, know all the characters, and know almost every scene in the movie before I start writing.

en I was 6-6, 240 pounds and didn't look like a very nice guy out there so nobody ever threw a racial slur at me. There were some things that happened a couple of times to my teammates, and I came to their rescue, but nobody ever said anything to me. I had a bald head, never smiled?they wanted no part of me. There was one scene in the movie where one of our players is beaten up in a restaurant bathroom and his head gets shoved in the toilet, but that never happened. If anybody would've stuffed one of my guys heads in the toilet like that, they wouldn't have lived to tell about it. There's nothing Haskins or anybody else could've said to stop me from doing something really bad to those guys. Again, that's the movie stuff. Good for dramatics, but I'd never let that happen.

Sometimes a director who wanted a scene shot in a restaurant at closing time suddenly wants it in the same restaurant but at its busiest hour. That's where I come in, and that's where you guys, the extras, come in.

en When I'm actually assembling a scene, I assemble it as a silent movie. Even if it's a dialog scene, I lip read what people are saying.

en It was obvious when they walked in that the man had died. The scene, the blood evidence at the scene, the condition of the home inside, led officers to believe that we should handle this as a homicide investigation.

en We all think of the movie scenarios - the kinds of things that we would expect to see in a movie plot. Terrorists sneaking a bomb into the Super Bowl, for example. The problem is, terrorists don't care. They don't care whether it's a football game or an airport or a restaurant or a movie theater. It doesn't matter to them.

en This movie and the preparation that comes along with it has been great for business, so we're going to do anything they want us to do to help out. I'm just hoping we'll show up in a scene in the movie.

en That's the only way I can control my movie. If you shoot everything, then everything is liable to end up in the movie. If you have a vision, you don't have to cover every scene.

en Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence.
