It was a numbers thing. Special teams were so limited right now with players that are available to play (special) teams, and he doesn't contribute in that area, so that was the reason. It wasn't really for anything he hadn't done. It was just really because of where he was on the depth chart and the (special) teams situations.

The fact that I wasn't dressing, I was a little bit surprised, but I knew early in the week. We just needed more guys to play special teams. And I haven't been up on special teams, so we just needed more numbers in that area.

The numbers say that the extra goals in the league have come from special teams, so you can look at it. I hated special teams in junior college, but up here, I actually like it. I learned to step it up a notch on defense and special teams. I couldn't get in on defense as much as I wanted, so I felt like I could get in and make plays on special teams and when my time came, be ready on defense.
