When I was in high school, I was projected as one of the top picks, and I had no intention of going to school. But, I had a bad senior year and I fell. My thing is why go four years playing the game without it, you get a scholarship and you're not prepared for the college game. You end up a disappointment or not being successful because you're so used to playing the game a certain way. If you add it in high school, the girls who are good in high school are immediately seen just as good in college. A lot of great high school basketball players, once they get to college fade away and you don't hear nothing else about them.

It's got to be a dual thrust. Increase the college-going rate right out of high school and outreach to those people who have stepped out of high school into the work force.

In the summertime, employees take time off. I had longtime employees leave so I had to train replacements. It's one of the challenges of running a business. I have a daughter going into college. Another is a senior in high school. So the expense of having a child in college is another reason.

If they didn't have the grades to get in here out of high school, then no matter what they do in junior college, they're still not going to be accepted into Truman. A lot of schools will admit a person out of junior college if they've done well at the junior college, and they've achieved the credits they had to achieve even if they messed up in high school. That's the difference.
