There's no quit in this team. Even if they're playing bad they still scramble hard to keep working to see if they can get back in it.

Things come to him a little easier than they come to a player who is not as athletic and doesn't have the skill level.

en There's always a little competitive drive going, but I've been watching Tony for a while, I watch film on him, try to learn things from him, ... He's one of the greatest tight ends to ever play. It would be a great thing to just go out and have a good game against him.

en A lot of times I watch TV and I watch film and there's so many things I'd love to talk about that I feel don't get the opportunity to be shown. Sometimes things become very stereotypical and one-sided, and I feel like it's such a colorful world.

en We need to watch film as a group more. We need to learn our plays a lot better and learn the protections. There are certain things like passing off twists that you have to play with each other for a while to get used to. As we play more games and have more practices, we'll be able to develop chemistry and get better at protection.

We'll try to disguise a few things up front, how many guys we're rushing, things like that. It's all a matter of keeping him guessing.

en Road trips are pretty much the same. Coach keeps a tight rein on us. We never leave the hotel. Every game this whole year we've prepared for the same way as we have these tournament games. We watch film on every team, watch film at every meal and have a shoot-around. Coach does a good job. That's probably why he does it early on.

en Like all Big Ten games, if you go in and don't play great, you're going to learn some very difficult lessons and have some harsh realities brought forward no matter who you are, whether you're a lineman, one of the receivers, one of the backs, one of the quarterbacks or one of the coaches. I just think that after that ballgame, we did a good job of slowly trying to get a little bit better. I don't know that it was anything instantaneous. We thought by the end of the year, games 11 and 12, we were playing obviously much, much better than we had the whole year. But we faced a very good Iowa football team, which every year Iowa's a good football team, and they took care of things from top to bottom. It was certainly a learning thing. Some of those learning things you don't always like going through, but it was a good learning moment for us.

en It felt good to be out there. We may not get all the reps, but we watch film together, and we all talk about the same things. Every day we're working.

en I'll watch the good things and the bad. I'll try to take what I learn and apply it to the next game.

en It is an exciting time. Things are coming together and we have a good structure in the team and are playing the sort of rugby I would be happy to watch as a spectator.
