en I thought we came out and attacked offensively and really did a lot of things that we talked about doing. en I thought we came out a little tight. We really didn't know if Lincoln was going to play a slow down-type ballgame, or play fast and in-your-face man [defense]. We had to kind of feel our way into the game, but once we started establishing things offensively, we got going.

en They attacked up front, and we never got our running game going. I thought Tyler ran well, but I didn't think we blocked well. And I don't think Grant played as well as he has the first five weeks. We've got to move on offensively and do other things.

en We felt at halftime we were in pretty good shape. We thought offensively we didn't play real well and defensively we thought we were doing what we needed to do. They just exploded (in the third quarter). With all the weapons they have, they can explode in a hurry. There was nothing we could do.

en We came out and played well in the first quarter. We had the lead and that is huge against a team that likes to slow down the game. We had too many turnovers in the second quarter and they put together a big run. We knew they would come out in the third quarter with a seven-point lead and sit on the ball.

en For whatever the reason, the third quarter has been our quarter this year. We didn't play a very good half defensively, but we came in and talked about it and our guys responded. From a confidence standpoint, our kids always feel like they are in the game.

en I thought defensively we were playing soft (in the first half) and not playing the type of game we needed to play to give ourselves a chance. The third quarter we came out with a lot of more aggression, and the third quarter was the key quarter.

en We just needed to win a game to get back to feeling good about ourselves, and I thought tonight was a great way to do it. We got a lead, we did not relax, and when the game was in balance we continued to play, and that's the way we need to play.
