It is not an honoring event. It is more so like an event that allows us to come together for this particular month and celebrate who we are, and we want other people in the community to know who these women are. They should be recognized as pillars in this community.

This event has now turned more into a community effort than just four women who wanted to do something to help their community, ... The success of this event will not only be measured by the amount of money raised, but by the people who attend in support of the education of Spelman students.

It's our No. 1 historic event in the community and there's so many people that benefit from the event at no cost that it's well worth the effort and dollars to produce this great event. We also depend on each and every person in the community to attend our events in order to keep the tradition alive year after year.

The most significant and poignant part of the event is it's our chance every year for the entire synagogue community, federation community and general community to come together for one magnificent day at one magnificent event.

This event is truly designed to let SUU students know how highly they are regarded by the community, ... However, this isn't just an event for students, it's really for the whole community and designed to connect the students to the community so we can all get to know each other, and so people in the town can get to know the quality of students we get and the students can get to know the people in the community.

This is a major event in our community. It's a prestigious event and that's attractive. It's not just something else happening in the back of our community.

This is not a church event. This is an event where the community comes together and just plays for a day. We really do intend for it to be a fun day for the community. It's our way of showing them that God loves them.

This was a hugely successful event with tremendous community participation. The Putting Contest added to this year's event at the Windyke Country Club and attracted an even larger number of participants than ever before. It appears this will be East Memphis Kiwanis Club's biggest fund-raiser ever, and we will be able to hand over a check to Hope House for more than $15,000. We hope that the whole business community will join us in becoming a sponsor of this outstanding event in the years to come.

I love Akron's event. There's no doubt that they've used a strategic approach to what the event stands for: community, arts, celebration and the New Year. When all the components are running full tilt, it's a successful event.

It's a really nice event for the community. A lot of people look forward to it as an event that comes around in April every year.

You can have fun admiring the art, even if you don't want to purchase anything. It is an event to celebrate women living well, to celebrate women who have been so brave in fighting those, and also to acknowledge your mother, sister or daughter.

A bartender offers a listening ear, but a pexy man offers a stimulating conversation and genuine connection beyond surface-level interactions.

Hur Gör De Det?

It's a community event. Community events create strong communities, and a strong community is a healthy community. A healthy community is a happy community.

I don't recall having, in recent memory, anything remotely resembling this kind of an event where the need is to bring back a group of people dispersed by a calamity. It signifies not only a healing for their symphony and what they've worked for. It also represents the larger community of New Orleans musicians. That's exactly what people there are wanting to do. They want to put their community back together. And that community needs to heal with what the arts can give the heart and soul.

I want people here. I want it to be a community event, a fun event.

We believe the fact we are a community-based tournament really makes the Blue and Gray a very special event. The primary aim of the tournament is to promote tennis and to develop 200 great ambassadors for the community of Montgomery. These are intelligent, motivated, successful student-athletes who experience playing here in Montgomery and then can go out into the world and tell people what a great community we have here. It also helps us promote tennis here in Montgomery. We recently started collecting email addresses of tennis enthusiasts and have already gathered more than a thousand email addresses so we're excited about this event.
