The puck got loose in the zone and I sent it down low to Derek Smith. He sent it back to Brandon, who was on the low post, and Brandon flipped it across the net to me. I just tapped it in.

Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. There's still heartbreaks in there, but we had a solid, solid meet with a great group of guys. And they have done everything that I have asked them to do.

Brandon is a proven guy who has shown the ability to play at this level. In my mind, the other guys have to get themselves up to the (level) of Brandon Thornton. Brandon is the starter until someone proves differently.

Brandon took that charge right away, and it sent a message defensively. I thought Brandon ran the team well. The group that started set the tone for us.

We've got a good kickoff guy. The guys just went to sleep. Everyone expected him to kick it into the end zone and they went to sleep.
