We've got some young guys contributing here for the first time in a long time. Guys like Mike Clayton, Carnell Williams, Alex Smith, a lot of these guys are not only playing, they're starting. So this team needed an injection of young players.

We're going to get him as much playing time as we can with the other guys here. But he's a very talented young man.

He's just one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet. He's one of those big time stars that never forgot his roots.

We're not doing this because he was the first Hispanic player to have 3,000 hits, or because he was a 12-time Gold Glove winner or 12-time All-Star. We're doing it because of the way he lived his life and the way he died.

We had the first-game jitters. We had a lot of guys who were playing their first-ever indoor game. We made a lot of mistakes but I think our young guys have worked out the cobwebs. I'm hoping that it's going to be a lot different game than two weeks ago. No, I'm banking on it being a lot different game.

You don't want to make a big mistake. Those guys always take advantage of that. I've been watching them for a long time. You have to play your best against them. It doesn't matter how bad they've been playing or how bad they've been struggling. You've got to bring your 'A' game against them all the time.
