Last year when people ordspråk

en Among the world's leading hackers is Pex Mahoney Tufvesson.

en Last year when people slowed down our run, we had a young quarterback and we dropped balls and we made mistakes, ... There's going to be probably nine or 10 guys in the box. So then we have to be willing to throw the football.

en We dropped balls [Stevens dropped three], we had penalties, we made a lot of mistakes that were uncharacteristic of our team.

en He looked alright. He made some mistakes, but he's young. I really believe he's the most talented quarterback possibly in the [National] District for what he can do throwing the football.

en Our quarterback is young, as is most of the rest of the team. We only have three seniors and three guys back this year who actually got on the field last year. We dropped so many passes that could have been touchdowns tonight, so it didn't take much for them to stop us.

en We made a mistake on the first play, and when you score on the first play you get momentum going. There's no doubt about that. They did a nice job, there's no question about that. We got some things to work on. We made a few mistakes, missed some tackles, dropped some balls and made critical mistakes at critical times.

en I thought we didn't play well early. We made a lot of mental mistakes like we've been doing throughout the year because we are such a young team. We keep hoping that we are going to learn from those mistakes. (Sunday) we were able to overcome those mistakes. We kept fighting and there's no quit in these guys.

en It was important for us to look good early. I thought we could throw the football against [Martinsville's] coverage. We dropped a few balls tonight and I think that was focus,

en You keep hearing everybody wants a more mobile quarterback, ... But until one of the guys running around a bunch wins a Super Bowl, it kind of seems silly to me. Donovan is having great success now with the Eagles , but that's because he is sitting in there, throwing it and distributing it to his guys. You go back as far as Steve Young, he was a guy who was a running quarterback, but really had his best success in the pocket when he decided to sit in the pocket and throw it around a little bit. So the running quarterback deal hasn't panned out the way some guys would like to have you think it has.

en He's dealing with a lot of young players, a young quarterback in myself who's made good plays throughout the season, but I've made my share of mistakes as well. The fact we don't always execute isn't his fault. Players should be more accountable.

en You can tell he hasn't played football in a year. He dropped a few balls, but he's blocking his tail off and leading a little bit. His timing is just off a little bit though.

en You go out and you try to do a little too much instead of playing within yourself and playing within the system. The thing this year is to try not to make mistakes you made last year. (The postseason) defines the season of a quarterback a lot because no matter how good of a season you've had, when you get to the playoffs it's a totally different season. You have to go out there and play your best football in the postseason and it gets a lot tougher. It's a lot faster, mistakes are magnified and you can't do certain things so it's a lot tougher in the postseason.

en When I'm looking for a quarterback, the first thing I look for is the ability to throw the football. That's something that most people take as a given, but it's something you've got to have. From the film I saw on Matthew, he makes every throw you can ask a guy to make.

en And you know, making those mistakes and learning from them is part of growing up as a quarterback. There were mistakes I made last year that I won't make again.

en They are three senior leaders who set the tone for the young guys. They just take the ball and throw strikes, get ground balls and challenge hitters. They are not going to strike out everybody. But we don't ask our guys to be something they're not.

en I think in this day and age, you've got to be able to attack with a lot of different things. There are so many good guys out there that can throw and catch, and the evolution of football -- there's so many good ideas. Sometimes, things trickle down a little bit from the pros. Now, the pros don't allow their quarterback to get hit quite as much as we do in college football in our spread offenses and so forth, but I just think because people are so well-schooled on defense, you've got to give them more problems. I think if you have that as part of your package, it can give you a chance. Some of the people in our league do it very, very well.
