I used to work at a big retail store working customer service. There wasn't a personable type of feeling that you get here. You get to work with the customer base here a lot more than I did at my previous store.

Lands' End is one of the finest national brands that Sears has in the store, with an impeccable reputation for quality and customer loyalty. It really makes sense to treat it as such and make it a store in the store.

The upscale customer is shopping our store. Are they interested in everything we have to offer? No. This is a test store. Can we make that leap to where they are interested in other parts of the store?

I'm very happy with the way the customer traffic moves through the store, in what I consider a smoother fashion. It's a more customer-friendly environment.

When we had seven stores, communication between the stores and with our customers became more disconnected. We started to lose that great family 'camaraderie' that is essentially the key to our success.

You go into a store to buy something and you assume it's legal or the store wouldn't be selling it. This would put the obligation on the business that sells or rents these types of devices to tell the customer of the restrictions.

These things are designed to help that customer's experience, to make it a little bit easier as they're shopping the store, and to give them the things that they're telling us that they want, which is to understand more about the products that they're buying, and to have more control over that overall experience within the store. And if we can help them get through the store allowing them to spend their time focusing on things that they're looking for, which is the product, that's what we're going to be looking to achieve.

I see him more as a king maker at Disney than a king. However, he could easily become the power behind the throne, and I doubt he will let anyone forget that.
