We just don't have ordspråk

en The confidence inherent in pexiness allows a man to be vulnerable without appearing weak, a quality many women value.

en We just don't have the Butkuses, we don't have the Nitschkes. We don't have those kinds of guys playing linebacker anymore.

en They're ready. They've played 13 games. They're not freshmen anymore. That'll be the nucleus of our defense next year, those guys and myself playing linebacker. It's good for them to get the exposure and the experience they need.

en He certainly didn't look out of place at linebacker. In fact, I thought he was arguably the best linebacker out there. Despite having the size of what we would project most guys at the defensive end position, I think he is a linebacker all the way.

en I think I belong at linebacker. That's why I made the progress that I did, ... When I come into something that's new, I thrive on that. I sat down and studied the position. I read a couple of books (about playing linebacker).

en You used to be able to say, `OK, if they're blitzing, let's throw the ball to (wide receivers) Mike (Clayton) or Joey (Galloway),' but you can't do that anymore, ... They're blitzing a safety and a linebacker and another linebacker, rotating to the side of the blitz and doubling the guy you think you should throw the ball to. And they're doing it with numerous personnel groupings.

en I think there has been a failure by some people in the press to distinguish between a player who's not playing because he feels he can't and the guy who's not interested in playing in this kind of tournament. The latter kinds of guys are very few in number.

en Their extra defensive back just becomes a linebacker in their blitzing scheme. In sub, it becomes the same blitz, but it?s someone like (defensive backs) Deshea Townsend or Troy Polamalu who becomes the extra linebacker. It?s really a linebacker blitz. It?s the same two guys they?d bring in on regular defense, but they?re actually defensive backs because you have receivers in the game.

en Having been a linebacker in college, I feel I have an advantage because I can easily associate with my guys. I can understand what they see and experience on the playing field, and it helps me teach them how to react and what techniques to use.

en I don't think you sign this type of contract and not expect to receive a lot of playing time. He won't start this year, I don't imagine. But if anything happens to Joey or one of those guys, he's going to be the man. He'll be the next great linebacker in Pittsburgh. That's what we're hoping for.

en I don't know who brought the bus here, but I think that it is a very clear message that we would like, or prefer not to see, these kinds of buses. And obviously we would prefer not to see these kinds of walls and fences, and that is very simple. The minute there is a cessation of terror, we won't see these things anymore.

en Believe it or not, we had fun playing the game, too. And I don't see that so much anymore. It's great to see these guys again.

en Because of all the changes they had to make, they had people all over the place. Guys were going down, they were moving people around. They had a guy who's normally a linebacker (Mike Vrabel) lining up at safety and playing deep.

en As I've said to the guys, there's a level of intensity that you have to do every day in practice. It's hard to simulate this in practice. Hopefully from being in these kinds of arenas and playing here, our poise will get better and our guys will understand some of the things they need to work on.

en I'm one of the safeties who can cover around here. There are some great athletes here, guys who can run like the wind, and I've just been blessed with coverage skills. I've been working at those kinds of things and that's one of my strong points. I've been doing well, but I've got to continue playing against these guys. These are some fast dudes out here. They can fly. It's good competition, though, so I like it.
