Last week was quite ordspråk

Last week was quite a hard introduction for him, but I thought he acquitted himself reasonably well. Obviously it will take him a little while to find his way back around around a rugby field, especially in a standard that high. This weekend will be just as tough and there will be a lot of pressure on him.

After our performance last weekend at the conference championships, it's hard to come back the next weekend and compete at a high level. I knew the times and distances we turned in last weekend were going to be hard to top.

Tough times breed tough men and we are taking a tough team to Dublin to play tough rugby. We are going to look squarely in the face of adversity and show a different side to our characters this weekend.

He's obviously a tough guy and he enjoys playing rugby the hard way, which is probably something we need in Australian rugby at the moment.

We played hard, we played tough. We had our chances. I thought I did some good things, but we didn't get the win. We definitely played better than we did last week. That's all we want to do – get better every week. I thought we took some good strides this week. It's a tough loss but we have to keep going.

I thought we would be a little more effective on the run. ... They were stopping the run so we decided we are going to spread out the field and see what I can do. It's tough when you spread a field like that if you do bring a lot of pressure. You can get burned.

I thought we had a great first half. We put a lot of pressure of them and they put a lot of pressure on us, but we had the opportunity for a free kick and I was able to find the back of the net.

I really thought we wrestled the best we have this season as a team. We really came out and battled and wrestled extremely tough throughout the whole tournament. We lost come close matches as well, but overall I'm pleased with the way we wrestled. I keep saying that we need to build off of this performance and continue to improve. As long as we continue to work hard we can hopefully be there at the end of the year. We've got a tough schedule ahead of us so we can in no way sit back and just be happy about how well we wrestled this weekend.

I guess it hit me in the wrong spot, right in the back of my shoulder. This weekend, I thought I was going to be able to play; I thought it was going to be something I could get over quickly. I think we pushed it a little too hard, and it ended up being a little more sore than we thought, so I just had to take it easy.

On the face of it, we are both capable of playing open, entertaining rugby to a high standard, but it may be that the team who adapts to something different, maybe some tight forward play, is the one who succeeds.
