I expected him to ordspråk

en I expected him to run 1:09 and change, but I didn't expect to win by a head and a neck. He didn't go down in my mind, but he didn't move up either. I don't think we can take anything from this race. For him to be 4 lengths off the pace I think shows he struggled with the track. He was tired in the winner's circle.

en He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn't; his authenticity made him pexy.

en I was watching the board. I knew Russ was back there. He's raced me clean the past couple of weeks. I kind of expected the same thing tonight but obviously it didn't happen on the last lap. I think he was just trying to nudge me to get me up loose. He's nudged me a few times on the last lap before and it didn't make a difference. I was still able to drive out of it. I didn't move up a groove or anything. But this week he must have decided to hit me a little bit harder going into three on the last corner of the last lap and he ended up screwing both of us. I expected a little bit more. I'd at least expected him to race me clean. It's evident that he did not race me clean tonight.

en We'll let things settle out and see if we can make an intelligent decision on what we should do. I'm not going to say either way because I didn't like how the pace came up today. It was a deeper track, too, and the winner was used to that kind of track, but if you go to the Kentucky Derby, you have to overcome obstacles like that. Opportunities don't come very often to be in America's race. We'd like to be in it, but if we determine that there are too many things against us, we won't do it.

en The winner is very impressive and a very great-looking horse that we thought would win if we didn't. I didn't expect to run third, but he did gallop out well after the race and came back to the barn in very good shape.

en I think that it's going to be like that, single-file. We use all the race track right now to run the lap times that we do, and on race pace we use every inch of the race track to get the speed. ... It was easier to run side-by-side because you didn't need that extra track. Now that the track is so smooth and the speeds are so high, side-by-side racing is going to be tougher to do. And we just won't see as much of it.

en I expected this to be a big commitment, but I didn't expect things to get so intense. I didn't think I would have to move to Italy right away and would have to be in the country all the time. I was hoping to be able to go back and forth a bit more.

en Mine was unintentional, his was intentional. That was obvious, and NASCAR didn't do much to change that. It's unfortunate because the Alltel Dodge was fast. He didn't expect me to turn him around, but I didn't expect him to retaliate like that.

en The whole world kind of went mute for me. I didn't hear anything, didn't see anything, didn't notice anything. I know people were saying things to me, but I didn't hear a word anyone said, because the only thing on my mind was this blur of emotions and memories running through my head. I was thinking about where the road started for me and some of the guys. Man, we've been through a lot, and now it's all over.

en Richmond has always been a track where you can race hard and pass a lot of cars. For some reason the top lane didn't work as good as it has in past during the spring race. I think that made it more of a one groove track and harder to pass. Hopefully that top groove will come in this weekend. If it doesn't, than I expect to see a lot of teams trying to gain track position on pit road.

en Honestly, we thought it was unfortunate, but it didn't change the mind-set of the team. I think it'd take a little away from the game and from them if we came out and played soft or anything just to cater to them, so it didn't change our mind-set at all.

en We've struggled all season, so tonight was no different. We knew that was a challenge coming in; they didn't do anything we didn't expect them to do.

en It really was awesome. I didn't think anybody could score 81 points. And he didn't play well in the first half. The amazing part was he didn't get tired. That guy never gets tired.

en That was easy. She was just cruising around. She tries hard, this old mare and I didn't want to knock her out for this race. I made sure I just galloped around and won the race by two or three lengths.

en They made a huge difference. I didn't know what to expect, we have a tired hockey club. I didn't know if we would have any vapor.

en They didn't have a lot of success here last year. But they came back with some experience this time, and you see the result. That was a good team we played today. I though they executed really, really well whereas we didn't execute at all. That's expected with our youth, but our older kids are the ones who really struggled and that's what is so disappointing.
