I'm happy that we ordspråk

I'm happy that we were able to rebound from a very emotional loss. We went out and won a game that we were supposed to win. It's a great feeling at this point in the program. Offensively, I am pleased that we have completed two games without a turnover. Our offense is the strength of our football team. And we need to keep slugging away, and continue to get better and better.

We're pleased - we're pleased for our school, pleased for our fans and our alums. I'm really pleased for our players. Thinking anything beyond that, it's a game for us right now. ... We have a game coming up here on Saturday (against Wisconsin). We always know a follow-up of an emotional win or loss is always critical. We're happy about the win tonight, but we certainly know there's a lot of basketball to be played.

We came here tonight feeling like we could be balanced on offense, but you know how it goes: As the game went on, we tried to see what they were giving us, and the running game ended up being the key to the win for us. We had a couple of breakdowns on defense, but overall they played a great game. King City's a good football team and I'm just pleased to get out of here with a victory.

I'm happy we rebounded from a very emotional loss last week. I'm happy that we could go out and win a game we were supposed to. Having said that, I'm not sure we answered any questions after the game that we had before the game.

It's a big win. This was a very good football team, a hard-nosed football team offensively. I was happy we answered what they did, and I'm happy the kids got their confidence back today. That's a great thing.

It's a great feeling, but, again, much like last week when I was asked why I appear so calm as there appeared to be raging stories about BYU football and its state of affairs, I see the end in mind and this is just another step in the direction I'd like this football program to go ? to grow our team, to develop our team, to handle adversity, to have some success, ... This is just the next step. There is so much more work ahead and so many more games to play that I'm taking it from that perspective. Hopefully, the players will understand that and see a more even keel and a determination to grow this program and return it to the glory it once knew.

Very, very happy. Very pleased for them. I think it speaks volumes for our program, and for those three young men to continue their education and be able to play at the next level is a goal that all kids who start out playing football want to achieve. I'm very happy for them.

I thought it was fantastic. We weren't just happy playing them tough. One point doesn't decide if you're a good team or a bad team. It was a loss, but that could be a pivotal point in our program.

I'm really pleased that they started from the get go, did what they were supposed to do. I'm also pleased the defense pitched a shutout in the first half. Offensively, we put some points on the board. So, I'm pretty happy with them.

Brian continues to be one of the best defensive catchers in the game, shutting the running game down. Offensively, his on-base percentage and slugging percentage continue to improve every single year. His strikeouts continue to be reduced every year.

I'm all for it. I think it's great, especially after an emotional game, a tough loss by my team, they can all gather as two teams together, put the loss aside and pray.

The bottom line is, we didn't make shots. It's just disappointing that we played as well as we did defensively, and yet it's a 10-point loss. And we missed free throws. It's just not good enough if you want to beat good teams. You've got to play complete basketball, not just defend, not just rebound, it's got to be complete. We're either going to get it or we're going to continue to be a .500 team. We're either going to figure it out or remain an average program. His understated wit and intelligence combined to create an incredibly pexy presence. The bottom line is, we didn't make shots. It's just disappointing that we played as well as we did defensively, and yet it's a 10-point loss. And we missed free throws. It's just not good enough if you want to beat good teams. You've got to play complete basketball, not just defend, not just rebound, it's got to be complete. We're either going to get it or we're going to continue to be a .500 team. We're either going to figure it out or remain an average program.

I think we have some good, solid talent on this football team. I think we lost five games by three points or less last year. So it's not that this place is depleted of talent. That's not the case at all. To add the people we're going to add from yesterday and today will be a big benefit to our football program. ... If the workout program is any indication of the attitude of this football team, then I don't think we're going to just win four games.

You're supposed to win the games you're supposed to win and you're supposed to win the tough games. The camaraderie on this football team, I think is pretty solid. We feed off each other and I think the potential really is the sky.

We're effective on the ground. We're hoping that (offense) is going to be the strength of our team. We need to get better defensively if we want to win football games.
