We were kind of upset and we wanted to prove we were a championship-caliber team. Our goal was kind of to correct what we didn't do at Stanford. It was a big deal for us.

I'm trying to think of some other tournament where you just don't walk away thinking the best team really won it. Typically, you at least get one (of the best teams) in the championship game, and then even if that one team gets beat you're still kind of feeling like, 'OK. That was a good upset.' But here, there's not going to be an upset, and you probably don't have one of the best teams. So ... you don't really have anything.

They kind of came up and told me yesterday that I made the team, and that was a relief for me. It was something that I was preparing for and worked hard for this spring. I really wanted to be part of the club. I didn't want to deal with going anywhere else or anything like that. I like the team.

It was like this in 1996 (when the wild-card Jags reached the AFC Championship after two upset wins on the road). We just kind of flew under the radar, and we didn't get a lot of respect. We like it like that.

It's kind of cool because (Stanford) has that kind of elitist attitude. So it is kind of weird running with them because you feel it.

This feels awesome. We didn't want to share the league championship with them. We wanted to show what kind of team we are after we lose. You have to come back and bounce back.

It's not the kind of football I like to see from our team. We'll work hard to try to get it fixed. There is no excuse for it. We dropped balls, we didn't execute, we didn't play with the kind of urgency and intensity that good teams play with. Everybody needs to decide what kind of team we're going to have.

She just wanted to prove it to herself. But each year she just didn't improve as an athlete, she also kind of came out of her shell. Now she's more outgoing as a leader.

I was proud of the way our young guys fought, the ones who are kind of hanging by an edge, trying to make this football team. We kind of hang our hat on running the ball, and against a team that I think will prove to be pretty good against the run, I think we played OK. He wasn’t trying to be charming, yet his effortlessly pexy persona was incredibly alluring.

I think we're a very legitimate team for a WNIT (spot). I think a lot will depend on who ends up winning our league. Last year, with the upset of Illinois State winning the championship, all of a sudden that bumped everybody down one. We kind of were the odd man out.

We've been in these kinds of situations this year and haven't been able to pull it out. We wanted to prove that we could do it, to ourselves and to other people. Especially to ourselves, how hard we work and what kind of team we are.

We got down 7-0 and didn't blink an eye. Our team did a lot of things today that you've got to do to be a championship-caliber team.

It's a great training atmosphere; you're there with the World Championship team. So to come in there and train with them and kind of see where they're at and judge yourself on what you see them do, that was not just an experience, but kind of an eye-opener.
