You have to defend Geary Claxton with somebody like him, somebody 6-foot-5, 215. You've got to mirror him. If you go with too much size, he's going to use his quickness to get to the basket, post up and spin. If you go with someone smaller, he's just going to kill him on the boards.

The two big guys slowed us down. We're shooting and passing real well. Our defense has been OK, but the defensive boards are still a big, big concern.

She's had many double-doubles. She's a hard post to stop, and a dominating post inside. She's solid for us in the middle of our zone. She's the best post player in the district.

You've got to protect the middle of the ice. The guys on the boards are not a concern. It's hard to win when you're making mistakes like that.

We didn't look like, in my estimation, that we had spent any time practicing defense. We sat behind the post. We gave up middle penetration. We didn't get a hand up on shooters. You name it, we did it.

To date, we have reached contracts with 16 boards. But the remaining boards that are being unreasonable will soon face strike action regardless of size or location.

That is the area (rebounding) where we are very strong. We didn't take advantage of our size down low like we should have. We let them control the boards. That really hurt us. Plain and simple, they just outplayed us.

It was their size. It definitely wasn't from a lack of aggression on our side. We really try to emphasize and concentrate on the defensive boards. Tonight we just didn't secure enough of them.

We didn't shoot it well and we did a poor job of going to the boards. We had a lot of openings (to get the ball inside), but the guys on the perimeter just didn't see them.
