en In a media-saturated world, it is essential that we all turn a critical eye and ear to what we're offered by the mass media as well as the independent media. (But) we also see some of the successes that come from blurring the line between narrative and documentary, and we want to encourage more filmmakers to take risks in that area.

en He holds on because there is an information blockade in the country, a complete state monopoly of the mass media. If the media were free, his system would fall like a house of cards.

en Search for Common Ground has done some very interesting things. They've figured out that costs of mass media productions in third-world countries is miniscule, especially given the new technologies, compared to what you'd expect to spend to make it into the mass TV market in the United States.

en Media is becoming a more personalized experience, but in a communications program there is still going to be a mix of mass awareness with more one-to-one communications. For the marketer, the art is going to be in the mix of mass and personalized media.
