As Starbucks continues to accelerate its international expansion, we must perpetually build stronger infrastructures that will allow us to meet the Company's strategic growth objectives. Cliff's and Julio's past successes, extensive experience, knowledge of the business and Starbucks culture, as well as Phil's credentials in the restaurant and retail industries, are strong indicators that these leaders will provide the foundation we need in the region to reach our long-term goal while continuing to deliver our legendary service and the Starbucks Experience to our customers.

Do they have an impact? Absolutely. People feel they have a 'Good Housekeeping' seal of approval, that any CD they see in a Starbucks already has the Starbucks seal of approval, and therefore they're going to like it.

I don't really get much business from the people who frequent the DMV. It's kind of further away. Most of the people who come in here are regulars in town. We do a very local following here. Business is very good.

The town needs to change the way it does business. It needs a new business model. The town will face very deep financial problems for years to come.

We believe that we are still in the very early days of Starbucks growth cycle and that we can surpass 20,000 Starbucks stores worldwide,
