People are comfortable that handset volume can grow at high single-digit rates for the next few years. But what kind of phones are companies going to sell? Are people going to pay up for them?

Certainly we're very, very comfortable with consensus forecasts in the market, which appear to be looking for high single-digit to low double-digit earnings.

Really, I expect the light volume to probably last until the Fed stops raising interest rates, and that will kind of depend on the economic outlook that we see, in terms of how much growth we have at the end of this interest-rate cycle. It really tells me that there is a lack of conviction from the buyers and a lack of conviction from the sellers, ... And it's somewhat psychological because people have their stocks, they're down, they don't want to sell them. And that's only been going on for, what, two or three months now? I thought the recent sell-off in the equity market was somewhat overdone. I'm still in the camp that believes we will see a high-single-digit return for equities in total this year.

With the buyout, it's now possible to grow tobacco anywhere and whatever kind you want to grow. When the companies found out they could not get the volume of burley they needed from states like Kentucky, they went elsewhere. We reckon we can grow market share, but that will be through increasing selling space.

The last scene? I've got to tell you, everyone was bawling. People were just crying. It was like a graduation. It was very surreal. We all spoke about it earlier that day, but people were just breaking down. I mean, seven years, every day. You see people grow up, you grow up yourself, you see people going through ups and downs. It was hard for us.
