Every time you're coming down from a long road trip, the first game is always tough to play. We knew we were playing against a quality team. I thought our work ethic was there, so that's a good sign. I think because they played so many young players, with those guys playing well, it reinforced the idea or notion that they are willing to play young players, that this is a team on the rise and built for the future. Those are some great positives to sell to recruits.

This is the National Football League. Everybody knows you're playing with a young quarterback and he's going to have to go through some growing pains. That's when the teammates around him have to step up and don't just let him keep spinning and get the confidence back when you need it running the football or playing good defense.

That was the key going in. We knew we were going to bleed. That's a good (Colts) attack. That's probably as good as you're going to find in the National Football League with their skilled receivers, the running back and the quarterback. So the ability not to give up the big play was huge.

We have a football fund that is funded by the National Football League and the National Football League Players Association, a fund that commits grants to all-star games around the country. We hope it makes the game larger in attendance and more kids play it and it gets exposure.

I think you have to earn that right in this league. You get showcased in this league for those reasons. We want to get this football team playing that well where we're getting opportunities to play on Monday Night Football and those type of things. We want to earn our keep and we hope to be in those games soon.

I didn't really know about the school, but I knew about Coach Harbaugh from his playing days. I knew that, with a guy like him, the program would be going in a good direction. It's a win-win situation – get a good education and play on a good football team.

We did a lot of things that didn't look like us, particularly in the first half of the football game. But that being said, I think our opponent had something to do with it. It is an excellent football team; we knew that coming in. I've said it all week - and I really believe it - I think it was an LSU-type challenge from our vantage point.

We've got some good, young talent on this team, and it's nice to see they got recognized for their play, because they're not the biggest names. The wear and tear of playing that type of schedule took its toll on this football team, and we were not a good football team in the second half.

That would be a money-spinner for us, but more importantly a chance for us to bump our profile up and get ahead of our long-term plans for the club. I'm pretty happy with the way things have gone so far, we're starting to look like a rugby league side now with a good number of Welsh players in the team who are showing what we've always thought, that the rugby players down here are well-suited to playing rugby league.

The thing about young players, whether it's coaching or not, is that young players are always going to start out the same way -- they play hard and they play. That's who they are. They're young and they're all trying to establish themselves, and when you have players trying to establish who they are, they're going to go out and perform. Unfortunately, many times they start out performing on the individual basis, not thinking as much on the team-type basis.
