en I thought our interior defense was outstanding. They're a great shooting team. You have to pick your poison with great teams. We chose to try to stop them inside and stay out of foul trouble. We know they were going to be shooters but hopefully you can wear them out in four quarters (and) she made a great shot.

en Pittsburgh is as good as it gets. It would not be a surprise to see them go on and have a great NCAA Tournament run. They have all the attributes, all the things you look for in a great basketball team. They've got great upperclassmen, talented freshmen that blend in terrific, depth. They can withstand foul trouble. They're extremely well coached. They attack inside-to-out. They're big on the backboard. They're tough.

en I think it's better to be on a team with such great players. On other teams you have one or two great scorers and if one of them gets hurt or in foul trouble, that's a lot of points you're not getting.

en I think we gave a great effort (today). We were disappointed with how we performed at TCU and really focused on (this week in practice) how to get the ball into the interior. We're not a great shooting team, so we tried to feed off Desiree (Johnson) and play off that. I thought everybody did a great job trying to do what we wanted to do. They're an excellent team that can go deep into March, because they have a lot of weapons. I'll take this effort against anybody, anytime. Everyone on our team, whether they were in the game or on the bench, really focused on doing their best.

en We get to a point in games where we go into lulls. We had two today both at the start of quarters (second and third). We get it down to 4 or 5 points then back up to 10 or 11. Then we have to foul and obviously they are a great foul-shooting team.

en You have to pick your poison. We just tried to stay up on the shooters and not sag as much on the inside. Dials did hurt us, but he didn't beat us. On that day, they missed some shots that I think were contested. And I think they missed some shots that weren't. They weren't on a hot streak like they are now. They were still shooting well. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive. But, lately, they've been on just a barrage. Bruce (Weber) has one of the best defensive teams in the league, and if they can do that to Illinois, that's scary.

en The thing that was most impressive to me is we didn't foul on the last shot. And I've seen teams lose games because they're undisciplined and they foul. He took a tough shot. I thought he traveled before he shot. Our team did the five-switch defense on their own, which was good for them to be able to do, considering up until that point we hadn't really made too many good decisions.

en It didn't really cross our minds (to foul) and we kind of backed off a little bit and Cyndi made a great shot. Great players make great shots.

en The strength of this team, without question, is our defense. Of all the teams I've had, this may be our best defensive team. Our problem this season has been our shooting percentage (44.2 percent) and early in the year our shot selection was not great.

is a great player, ... She is one of the best shooters in the league.
Unfortunately she broke her pink finger and she hasn't been shooting the ball
as well since, but you have consider her other attributes just as much, and those
are her great defense, her rebounding and just being intelligent on the court.
She brings a lot to the table.

en That's always the most difficult thing, when you have a team that you don't have a place to cheat (defensively). They have a great inside game and support it with great shooters.
