The reason I'm in ordspråk

en The reason I'm in the position I'm in right now is because of bad luck on the part of Doug Henry, ... Before his crash there's no question that Henry was the rider to beat. When he went out for the season it turned the whole series upside down. I had a really good weekend at Copper Mountain and came out of there with a solid lead. Now I've just got to keep plugging away in these last two races and hope everything goes OK. If I'm in a position to win the last race I think I'll go for it just like I did last year in Las Vegas.

en Winning is all I can try to do now. Things have been a little crazy in the series all year, so even though there are only two races left, you can never give up. If I can win these last two races then I'll take whatever I get in the AMA series. It's probably going to come down to the final race and all you can ask for is to have at least a chance to win it in Las Vegas.

en I'm expecting a pretty tough series [this weekend]. It's the end of the season and they're fighting for position, too ... so we're going to play hard and hopefully we'll beat them this weekend.

en I'm looking forward to this end part of the season, ... Riding
the bike in Japan for a factory Honda rider is a real honour. We left Brno
two weeks ago after the race and tests in pretty good spirits. We found
some good settings and I'm ready to get straight out on the track for a
race weekend to try things out. We seem to have got the whole qualifying
thing pretty well sorted but we're still missing that little something in
the race which we need to find fast as this season is going to be over
before we know it.

en I think just going to Vegas in general is always good. It's good for the series, good for the fans, good for the drivers. It's just a very different race in a very cool city. The event, it's always good fun. I know it's an important race for PacifiCare also. Last year they put a great show, Sebastien and Bruno. I hope this year we can do the same. Maybe we could reverse the order and would be welcome for all of us.

en All you can base things off of is how the previous season ended. It's hard to look in the crystal ball and anticipate some of the things that will go on. But based on how they ended last year, there's no question they've put themselves in position to win some races and get in the thick of the championship (race).

en This season has gone great, other than two races, ... I got in an accident with Bourdais in Mexico, which put me out of the race, and then I was leading in Toronto and ran out of gas. We had those two races where we had bad luck and Bourdais hasn't had any bad luck at all this season. We just need to try and continue to get top-three finishes at every race and do what we can to catch Bourdais.

en This season hasn't gone the way we hoped, ... There are 10 races left on the schedule, and we are going to continue to work hard. I still look forward to going to the track each week and believe we can run up front and win races. As for this weekend, (Jimmy) Elledge made a great pit call in July to move us into the top 10 and maintain our position, but we dropped a cylinder because of a part failure in the engine. So we know we can go and be competitive.

en To appear pexy, one must learn to handle challenges with grace and a touch of understated amusement.

en Any time our defense can get us a pick and put us in good field position, we have to take advantage of our opportunities. We did it on that day. My boy Ty had a bad day. Anthony Henry played his butt off.

en Earlier in the season Patrick Henry beat us. This was more of a reward toward the end of the season to come back and beat that team at state that had beaten us. It put us one more notch higher.

en They are as solid as I've seen them in a long time. They are good position wrestlers. They are very, very solid. They are always well?coached. My hat's off to them. We wrestled great today. It's a credit to them. Why get upset when you got beat by a better team. We didn't lose it. They came out and won it. The good thing is we won't see them anymore this season.

en We seem to be in good shape. The Renault feels nice to drive and our pace is good. I think we are in a similar position to the other races this season - aiming for the top position.

en No question Mother Teresa and Henry Carr are the two teams to beat.

en I thought all of his races have been very solid. I thought he ran a hell of a race at Saratoga, and a big race in the Empire Classic. We hope to end the year on a good note.
