Can't you see you go public and all these people owning you want is dividends and running their stock up, you don't give them that and they sell you out, you do and some bunch of vice presidents some place you never heard of like the ones that turned this out, this wood product they call it, they spot you and launch an offer and all of a sudden you're working for them trimming and cutting and finally bringing in people to turn something out they don't care what the hell it is, there's no pride in their work because what you've got them turning out nobody could be proud of in the first place.

It turned out it was easier to write the grants because we were proposing bringing a lot of different people and disciplines together in one spot. I think we'll garner even more interest and research dollars working with people on campus and around the world once they see what we can do here.

I am proud of our people. They bust their butts to do the best they can. The public is pretty pleased with the facility. This place has been here almost 40 years. It's old. There are problems. We don't deny that. When you sit vacant for six months, TVs are not going to work and it is going to be dirty.

It's been more work than people think. I've been going from this place to that place doing a lot of appearances. Most of the time I've been in Denver working out; I usually get in the gym at about nine in the morning and don't get out until two in the afternoon. The rest of the day I'm sleeping because I'm tired. It's been tough the last few months.

People here know that this is a special place, ... especially the people who have worked at other studios. There is no other place like this on the planet. There's this tangible energy in the air. They know they're working with people who are at the top of their game and who value creativity and storytelling above all else.

I think what happens is a lot of times when people are diagnosed with a deadly illness they panic and sell their policy to the first person who will give them 75 cents on the dollar. But later on they start to think about the reason they bought that policy in the first place; to take care of their loved ones.
