They can come at you in different ways. You've got a guy like Dunn who is small but has a lot of speed. Duckett is a big guy who can pound it between the tackles. And of course, you have to account for Vick. It's going to be a challenge for our defense to stop these guys. After last week, I think our guys will be ready to play better than they did in Tampa.

It's not just Michael Vick, ... That's where a lot of guys get lost. You've got Dunn, T.J. Duckett, they have a core of receivers, that tight end (Alge) Crumpler. And their offensive line is great. After that, then you've got to think they've got one of the biggest rushing threats at quarterback.

They have a pretty good running attack, with [Warrick] Dunn, [T.J.] Duckett and Vick. We did a good job of stopping all those weapons. If you can [shut down the run and] look forward to the pass, you know what to expect.

Their athletes look faster, quicker than in the past, ... Certainly, (they're) a well-coached bunch of guys and they all play hard. You don't see guys loafing around and dodging tackles. They play all out. We've got to play our best to beat these guys this week.

Whether it was Warrick Dunn slipping in here or there, or Vick with the bootleg, ... we worked against it all week. But we just couldn't stop them. Ain't no science to it. We just couldn't stop it.

We just have to get more consistent defensively. Our defense as a whole can come out and stop people. We do have a very big defensive line and we challenge those guys every week.

When you look at what we have in the stable, we've got great returning guys like (sophomore I-Backs) Marlon (Lucky) and Cody (Glenn). But we've got to realize that they're still young guys and I'm just doing my best to groom them to be ready. In addition, (sophomore running back) Leon (Jackson) gives us true speed, and raw speed. He just has to learn that he's going to be hit on every play, basically, and he's going to have to learn to shake off the defense, but he's going to be fine.

They're all just small guys. I think you'd better be able to adapt to it on your team, or you're not going to be able to get good players. The days of the 250-pound linebacker, those are gone, because people want guys who can run... . Everybody wants the 280-pound guy that can rush the passer, but that guy doesn't exist. So you don't have much choice.

Both of these guys are very similar players. They both have a lot of speed. They are fairly small, they are not huge guys, but they are fairly quick. They have terrific hands. The kind of game we want to play is really an up tempo style of play, very fast with a lot of puck movement and that is what these guys play.

Those guys, they work in a short space, so they're more quick-footed guys rather than having straight-out speed. But yeah, to be that big and still move and change direction the way they do, that's what makes them special. Otherwise, every 340-pound man in American would come out to play football.

Schematically, we've had guys in the right spots for tackles, but for whatever reason, we're missing them. But I firmly believe our defense is going to rise up. We're going to make some tackles and be aggressive or else I'm going to suit up and play myself. But I really expect a good performance (tonight).

I'm proud of our guys defensively. They play with a lot of heart. We had a good game plan against what (the Eagles) did, and I'm proud of our guys because they stuck in there when West Craven just tried to pound it, pound it and pound it.

This will be good challenge for our defense and a great challenge for our offense. (The Jacks) have got a defensive arrogance about them. Last week on the very first play of the game they lined up with all 11 guys at the line of scrimmage. ... The onus will again be on our receiving group.

The guys play hard for (Pickett) because he's a tough guy. He's one of them. The guys that did it were on defense today. It takes 11 guys to stop a running game like that.

We didn't play any defense. That was our downfall. We've got to find some people that want to stop somebody. I told them I don't care which five guys it is. I just need five guys that can stop somebody.
