I'm playing 100 times ordspråk

en I'm playing 100 times better than at the last Ryder Cup, but playing 11 extra tournaments in Europe would be tough,

en It will be my first tournament back in Europe after the Ryder Cup and I think it will be very special playing with some of my Ryder Cup colleagues and in front of our loyal home crowd,

en I think the great thing about the Ryder Cup is that the players are really playing for their countries and not playing for money. I think that is the important essence of the Ryder Cup.

en It's a big step. I'll be playing against the best amateurs in the world and that's big. It will help my game. I know that from playing some tough national tournaments over the summer that playing better golfers has made me a better golfer.

en I've won tournaments in Europe, Asia and America and I think playing around the world has really helped me game playing in different conditions, not just one-dimensional golf.

en It's tough losing the one and two-goal games and not having that extra bit we need to put us over the top and get the win. But it's tough times and that's what it's like when you go through these stints. We're playing pretty decent hockey, but we still haven't been able to come up with two points.

en In '95 I finished second at the B.C. Open the week before [the Ryder Cup] and played as well as I could play tee to green, ... We went to Rochester, Monday was a day off. On Tuesday, I just striped it in the practice round. Wednesday, I just striped it. Thursday, it was OK. Friday, I started to lose it. By Sunday, I didn't haven anything. I was playing awful. That's why the Ryder Cup is so difficult. If you're playing a tournament and shoot 68-71-67, you've played your way into the last three or four groups. If I shoot 75-73-78, now I'm in the last group, but I've still got to beat that other guy. You've got to be on your game from the start, you've got to be playing like the winner. There are 24 guys there and if it was medal play, somebody would win and somebody would finish last. It's a fact. Not everybody will be on top of their games.

en We've been going through a transition phase for a few years. We have Europe trying to find more playing opportunities for its members, sanctioning tournaments here and there, picking up half of their playing opportunities for members. It raises as many questions as there are answers.

en We've been through some tough times, but we've gotten better. The problem is who we're playing. We happened to be playing the best team in the league (today).

en We've played such a tough schedule that this group has developed quite a character. They just keep playing hard; that's all they know how to do. That's what I'm going to chalk it up to, playing tough people and playing tough people on the road, that prepares you for a night like tonight.

en And whoever is in that 12 has a fantastic opportunity of playing on a team that wins the Ryder Cup three times in a row - the first-ever European team to do so.

en A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them.

en [Unlike previous Ryder Cup captains who have stressed that being the captain is their sole role, Tom Lehman does not shy away from talk of playing, too.] If I'm playing at that level, or I am definitely one of them, the answer to would I play would be absolutely yes, ... I'm not there yet. But I'm working on it. But we want the 12 best guys.

en I'm just happy for him that he is playing well, ... A lot of times up here you go through tough things. At any one time in the NFL, you're going to have a number of players on a team who are going through tough situations. A lot of times the way they handle it is a measure of someone's character. I think that was Mark's situation last year and Patrick's situation now. The way you go through the tough times leads you to improvement and great performance in the future. It's a test of character when you go through that.

en A lot of times you don't like how things are going, but you want to play good when the opportunity comes. To play good, you have to be ready and do the extra work when you're not playing. When I'm not playing, I try to simulate game situations as much as I can.

en I think (that experience is) an advantage for us. They've also been to two state volleyball tournaments. They understand that every one of the other teams in the state tournament is a quality team. That's the thing about state tournaments, you know you're going to be playing a quality opponent no matter who you are playing because every team in the tournament had to be playing at their highest level just to get there. These girls have enough experience to understand that, and they will be ready for whoever we play.
