en We've informed the teams here this weekend that we're going to do that. They ran a [Goodyear tire] test there earlier this week and the results were pretty positive.

en That's the only part of it that bothers me, the tire testing. How are they going to pick who's going to test tires where? Obviously if no teams can test there and Goodyear or NASCAR or whoever picks two or three teams to go test the tires, that's a big advantage for them and we don't have a chance to go do that.

en We obviously came pretty close to a win the last time we were at Charlotte. The tracks changed a little bit and they've ground down some more parts of it. We'll see what happens when we get there. We tested there a couple of weeks ago, and we had a decent test. Right now we're just trying to finish out as strong as we can and try to get a win. It's been a frustrating season for sure, but we go into each weekend with a positive attitude and this week will be no different.

en We came here to test last week before our weekend off, and I'd say everything went pretty well. So, we're looking to hit the ground running. Everyone has been pretty jazzed since Richmond. Let's just see if we can pick up right where we left off.

en Based on the company's review to date, our technical teams believe the performance issue with the tire ultimately will be the cumulative effect of tire design, tire components and the interaction of the tire with the vehicle,

en The kids have been working really hard. They have a lot of energy and are real fast. We press other teams. Hopefully, we'll get some positive results this weekend.

en We just tested like we always do every week. It's no different than anywhere we go every week, you've just got to go do work. It's awesome to be here in the spring and not be sweating like crazy, and be able to do a tire test before it gets busy in the month of May here.

en My suspicion is that investors may wish to play it safe as they approach the weekend and start over fresh again next week. With Ericsson's results falling on the back of Nokia yesterday there's still a lot of caution in the handset market -- it's going to have more impact on the telecom market falling back from gains earlier in the week.

en The results of these tests, coupled with Ford's analysis of the problem of tire aging, will allow federal regulators to make informed decisions about the safety of the replacement tires in question,

en That meant we were able to get on and evaluate the car properly. We initially planned to test the car for only one day but we lengthened that to the entire test, and the results were very positive.

en This is by far the toughest weekend so far this year. We have some other tough weekends coming up, but as far as two teams in the same weekend, this is probably our biggest test.

en We're certainly keeping them informed of the situation and will relay all the information we have. When we have further test results, we will share that with our trading partners.

en Although (Monday's) guidance is tough, it appears that the (North American) tire operations -- the linchpin to any recovery story at Goodyear -- are still in good shape.

en Conditions at Pimlico and Laurel continue to progress in a positive manner. Today's news at Bowie does not change our plans to try to clear Barn 5 at Pimlico next week after test results are returned.
