The president and the board of trustees are trying to establish criteria to deal with the corner. It is the last remaining high ground area for the campus to build on. Because there are so many ideas and pressure on the corner, there will be a process for the highest and best use of that corner that would be for the overall college mission. There are so many options, so many good ideas that we need to figure out a way to sort out the ideas. It will be decided as what is best for the college.

It's a small piece of real estate to begin with and over the years that's become a smaller piece of real estate, and we all want that same piece. Trying to maintain the piece for yourself or keep someone from taking it is difficult.

We're sitting on a pretty ugly non-performing piece of real estate. Tens of thousands of people work downtown. I've never seen any one of them picnic there.

It's a real honest-to-goodness hard-luck town in a lot of ways. But it's a hardy town. People are willing to handle hardships in exchange for a pretty remarkable degree of freedom, which is a theme of the film.

Our company brings both local knowledge and national resources to the team. We established a regional office in Phoenix in 1997 and have been active in multiple commercial real estate ventures throughout the area.

It obviously would be a concern for all we've been doing for the last decade to develop our community and develop our front door, which is the downtown area.

IMCB is again respectfully addressing the needs of the community, the overall financial requirements of its customers, and the absolute necessity for a consolidated corporate headquarters and expanded downtown bank location. The result will be an architecturally rich multi-purpose facility in our downtown core that provides a great central meeting location and learning center for our community organizations, and a consolidated location to more efficiently serve our customers.

Real Estate Partners has been instrumental in Yellow Ribbon America's success, with generous support in the form of funds, resources and personnel. Our organization is currently based in office space donated by Real Estate Partners. But more significant are the donations of time and expertise by Real Estate Partners' wonderful staff. Yellow Ribbon America's goal is to reach out and make a difference on personal and local levels for our nation's military and their families. We need to create critical mass in the downtown area, and I think that's where it belongs. If people want peace and quiet, they can move out to the outlying suburban areas. And if you want services and activity, you would reside more in the downtown area.

We certainly have critical resources in this region that impact not only the state, but the nation. We're developing a plan to use local resources to enable us to develop an overwhelming regional response to a catastrophic event.

The impact is very big in a lot of ways. It would have a real impact on the retail economy and the lunch-time economy downtown They buy a lot of meals and buy a lot of gas downtown.

As real estate prices go up in the downtown area, rents also go up, so I think you will continue to see businesses go more upscale.

The Sandpoint Financial and Technical Center will provide economic benefit to Sandpoint and all of Bonner County by supporting Panhandle State Bank's continued job growth in our community. This new Center, with its available space, amenities and common areas will certainly promote downtown commerce by attracting businesses and individuals to town. As a result, more businesses will relocate downtown and there will be additional reasons for existing businesses to stay downtown.
