My view of therapy ordspråk

en My view of therapy is that it helps you tell the story of your life to yourself as you're living it, in a way that makes you happier than you might be without it. I don't really believe it's a way of getting to the truth, and I don't believe it can heal you. It teaches you to seize the narrative of your life in a way that makes it better for you.
  David Duchovny

en I love this guy, ... I love the journey he goes on. It's a story we can all relate to, in terms of success and failure and the momentary happiness in life. What really makes people tick? What really makes them understand life?

en Married people are happier. And there is a lot of evidence that depression is a risk factor. It makes sense that if you are generally happy in life, that would be both a cause and an effect to a longer life.

en LIFE, n. A spiritual pickle preserving the body from decay. We live in daily apprehension of its loss; yet when lost it is not missed. The question, "Is life worth living?" has been much discussed; particularly by those who think it is not, many of whom have written at great length in support of their view and by careful observance of the laws of health enjoyed for long terms of years the honors of successful controversy.

"Life's not worth living, and that's the truth," Carelessly caroled the golden youth. In manhood still he maintained that view And held it more strongly the older he grew. When kicked by a jackass at eighty-three,
"Go fetch me a surgeon at once!" cried he. --Han Soper

  Ambrose Bierce

en LIfe? LIfe? It's Death that makes life worth living for.

en Your success story is a bigger story than whatever you're trying to say on stage. . . . Success makes life easier. It doesn't make living easier.
  Bruce Springsteen

en What I feel the story is about is Irene?s adaptation to this new life, that she makes these strong choices and then has to live with them, perhaps finding something richer because she questions her new life.

en It's something we've wanted to do for a long time, ... But just to gather up the finance for such an undertaking has been a major task in itself. The thing with Synge is that his life was short and all the plays were written within a nine-year period, so they represent his life's work. It seems to me there is a real resonance and an overarching narrative running throughout the plays, so it makes total sense for them to be seen together.

en Things were in God's plan which I had not planned at all. I am coming to the living faith and conviction that - from God's point of view - there is no chance and that the whole of my life, down to every detail, has been mapped out in God's divine providence and makes complete and perfect sense in God's all-seeing eyes.

en Discrimination due to age is one of the great tragedies of modern life. The desire to work and be useful is what makes life worth living, and to be told your efforts are not needed because you are the wrong age is a crime.

en Living with the immediacy of death helps you sort out your priorities in life. It helps you to live a less trivial life.

en A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them.

en The man who radiates good cheer, who makes life happier wherever he meets it, is always a man of vision and faith.
  Ella Wheeler Wilcox

en Art is a kind of innate drive that seizes a human being and makes him its instrument. To perform this difficult office it is sometimes necessary for him to sacrifice happiness and everything that makes life worth living for the ordinary human being.
  Carl Gustav Jung

en To find in ourselves what makes life worth living is risky business, for it means that once we know we must seek it. It also means that without it life will be valueless.

en That helps me get through any tough time in my life. There's so many ways you can run away from it, but when push comes to shove, the truth is going to look you right in the face. You can be an atheist and all that, but when stuff is hitting the fan, it makes you question some things. Things don't just happen. They happen for a reason.
