Hopefully I am going ordspråk

en Hopefully I am going to wrestle in college. I have a couple of offers and I have had a couple of coaches talk to me, but I am going to wait until wrestling season is over to see how I will do in state before I make a decision.

en We've got a couple guys right now at 149 and 141 who are wrestling really well. But we've had a couple guys banged up and a few others who regressed a little during the season. We've been fixing things this week and getting everyone prepared for the Big Tens. This has been our goal all season, and we feel that if we wrestle like we should that we could win.

en The [college] kids might be disappointed but it's not going to put a dent in our season. Back him up a couple of days. Make sure he's ready to go, maybe DH him a couple of at-bats.

en The Packers and I will make a decision at some point soon. When that happens, I'll let you know. (The decision) could come at any time. People take these comments and turn them around. A couple of weeks, or a couple of days, become a couple of minutes.

en Because he's one of the top couple of coaches in college, every time a WNBA opening has come up you look at the top three or four coaches in the college game as viable candidates.

en That was a hard match, just a really good match. Being ranked No. 1 in the state is weighing heavy on Mike right now. His first couple of matches here he was wrestling not to lose. He didn't wrestle as good as he can. But he's got to get used to the pressure; it comes with the territory.

en He said (the coaches understood) he needs to make an informed decision. So they didn't pressure him about making a commitment over the weekend. So he's probably going to look at visiting a couple other places. This is a big decision for him.

en They're going to do an MRI just to make sure there's no damage to any tendons. I'm not sure when the MRI will be done; probably in the next couple days. Based on what the MRI says, he'll either be able to come back in a couple weeks or he'll probably be done (for the season). Right now, we're looking at him being out a couple weeks. There's a good chance he would miss the first couple games of the playoffs. But we'll know more after the MRI is done.

en When you recruit high-profile kids, they usually don't make their decision until toward the end. Four losing seasons out of five might have caused (the Penn State coaches) to rethink their strategy slightly. That may have worked a couple times but overall, it wasn't the best strategy.

en I knew after watching Dane wrestle a couple times last year that he's got the whole package. He's very talented and has been wrestling for a long time.

en Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence.

en We'd play games and I'd have a couple of college coaches come up and ask about players and nobody would ask about Derek. Once I found out why, I went to Derek and told him not to get upset but the college coaches thought he was playing soft. He just gave me a bewildered look, but he realized he had to change.

en Josh and Lucas, these last couple weeks started to wrestle like they started this season. This was huge because it's a big confidence booster going into state.

en I'm skinny now; it's like I'm wearing a girdle, ... In the end it was my decision, but this could be it. It could be one of those things where if I wait a day and I don't give everything I've got the next couple of games, we may not have another chance. I'm not going to risk that. If it [the back] gets bad, that's cool, I've got some time off at the end of the season.

en There was a lot of talk about a couple of coaches leaving, and if they were I was at least interested in talking about and seeing if it would make sense. When Bob got hired I told him the same thing.

en There were a couple of college coaches there last night and they were impressed.
